Chapter 25
Moving On
HYUNJOOSorin finally visited my town on her day-off. At least now I could take my mind off yesterday. I brought her to a restaurant, not too fancy. I plan to eat the spiciest on their menu to cross it off the list.
"Do you mind if I see the list?" she asked.
I passed her the crumpled paper and then she read it quickly.
We were taking our seats when she gasped. "Aw, a hot air balloon date? That would have been amazing." she said sadly.
"Let's not talk about him."
"But Hyunjoo, if you won't talk about it with me then who are you gonna talk about it with? I mean, I don't want you keeping everything on your own again."
Mrs. Jeon, I thought. I have another appointment with her tomorrow.
I smiled at Sorin. "I'll tell you eventually. I just want to... enjoy today."
"Okay, I understand."
"Why don't you see if we can cross off another thing on the list?"
She flashed a grin. "Sure thing! Hm..." she said, taking a look at the list again. "Movie night would be easy but I need to get home before it gets too late." she said with a sigh and then her face lit up quickly. "CRASHHH A WEDDING PARTY!" she exclaimed so loud, some people in the restaurant looked at us.
"Oopss..." she muttered.
I laughed. "I was starting to worry about that one. Where do I find a wedding?"
"Leave it to me, bestie!"

HONGSEOK
"Hyung, are you sure you're okay?" Seonho asked. We're on our way to a book fest that he found online.
I just nodded as an answer.
"I'm sorry about yesterday. I'm sure Hyunjoo noona will talk to you eventually..."
I heaved a deep sigh. "I just can't believe she didn't believe me when I finally said that I'm in love with her." I turned right with a frown.
"I didn't really think you feel that much for her. How did you lose her like that, hyung?"
I gave him a quick glance. If he knew, it's partly because of him, he would blame himself for it. I don't want to add another weight on his baggage. Seonho is just recovering.
"You can say your hyung is just really stupid." I said with a tight smile, disappearing quickly. "I... I hurt her. I knew those words would break her butㅡI still said them."
Would I ever get over her? To make it worse, I can't stop thinking about our last kiss. She didn't pull herself away, so I'm thinking maybe she still feels the same way I doㅡbut that doesn't really mean she'll give me another chance, right?
"Enough of me," I said, shaking off the thoughts in my head. "How are you looking forward to your sophomore year?"
He groaned. "Hopefully better than freshman. I'm planning to sign up for the school's band."
"That's cool! Better put your mastered piano skills to use."
He chuckled. "I'm pretty excited. You joined the school's dance team back then and I'd be joining the band. Hopefully, I'd get in. And if I do, well, we're really leaving footprints in that school."
