(Seth's POV)
"So how did you end up in that bush anyways?" I question while driving and my eyes focused on the road."My tire punctured and it drifted onto the sidewalk which then landed in that huge bush" she explains.
"Ah so what made you decide to call me?"
"I don't know you were the first person I thought about calling" she says and I smile.
"Well I'm flattened"
"You mean flattered?" She corrects.
"Yeah that ah I always get confused between flattered and flattened" I mention.
"Don't you know English fluently?" She asks.
"Er where I came from we only spoke Spanish or Italian, English was a third language I had to take tutoring here" I explain to her.
"Well your English is really good considering it's a third language"
"Thank you I had to practice for years otherwise i got slapped on the face or had a ruler hit my hand 100 times" I still remember all the beatings I got for not being able to speak English properly.
"Wow that's torture who did that to you?"
"My tutor" I murmur.
"I'm sorry about that"
"It's alright at least I can speak English now and I've become a real man, I never cry" I tell her happily.
"What do you mean you never cry?"
"My dad always taught me one thing and that is if your ever in pain as a guy then you should toughen up, be a man and don't cry" I repeat his exact words.
"That's awful men should be allowed to cry" she says sadly.
"According to my dad it's considered being weak" I chuckle
"I'm so sorry your dad sounds.."
"Terrible" I finish for her.
"Scary" she says and I laugh.
"He's not so bad believe me"
"My parents wanted me to be confident" she says a few seconds later.
"Are you confident?" I question.
"Yeah in preschool once I got to high school things changed"
"You lost your confidence?" I ask quietly.
"Yeah I did..everyone picked on me calling me ugly, or fat, or they'd pick on me for even being too smart" she says and this time I look towards her.
"So you changed your appearance because of that?" I ask.
"Yeah well not only because of that my uncle told me that my mom was also bullied in school and she overcame it by changing her look and by doing that she gained confidence and felt happy" she narrates.
"And you did the same?"
"Yeah I did and it's helped gain my confidence" she says but her eyes were teary
"Then why are you crying?" I ask curiously.
"I just..I just miss my parents and remembering how I was bullied upsets me" her tears stream down her face. I hated seeing her upset.
I place my hand onto hers
"It shouldn't upset you anymore because that was the past and it should stay in the past now you need to think about the present and your future, don't let your past come in the way"
