Chapter 8

The next day I head to college as normal and I'm lifted up in the air by someone.

"Hey babe" I turn around to see it was Ryder. He spun me around and placed me back on the ground.

"Hi" I greet and I catch my breathe.

"So I'm having a party tonight at my house and I want you to be there" he says and he wasn't even asking me.

"Er sure I'll be there" I agree thinking this is my first party and how I'll finally get to experience the wildness and adrenaline along with all the popular kids in school.

"Great tonight is gonna be a night to remember" he says and I wonder what he meant by that. If he's planning something romantic i will scream in joy.

Throughout the whole day I was excited for the party to the point where I wasn't listening in class and that's not like me at all.

"Daniella you have to come to the party with me it'll be so much fun" I try convincing her but she wasn't getting convinced.

"Me at a cool kids party no I can't" she says nervously.

"Come on please this is my first party too I'm really nervous I need you there with me" I plead with a puppy face.

"Ok fine but I'm not gonna stay for too long" she says and I hug her in joy.

"Alright stay for as long as you can" I smile widely.

"Okay is Seth going to the party?" She asks

"Most likely he will I mean he's Ryder's friend so why not?" I shrug carelessly.

"I don't know he's been acting weird with Ryder I haven't seen him hang around with him in a while now" she mentions and now I know it's not just me thinking there's something weird going on between them.

"Really I thought it was just me who thought that now that your saying this I'm getting suspicious"

"Don't be he's clearly jealous that you and Ryder are together" she suggests.

"Yeah your right I mean why else would Seth care about me?" I scoff

I head to drama class as normal and I see Gabriella sitting alone for the first time and Ryder and Seth weren't here yet.

The class began after our teacher walked in and she didn't seem like she was in a good mood but that's nothing new she's usually always like this. She starts her long lecture to the class and Ryder walks in which cuts her off.

"Sorry I'm late" he says tiredly.

"Mr Bolton this is unacceptable you are always turning up late to class and it affects the rest of the students education" miss Bailey shouts

"I'm sorry it won't happen again" he apologises but she still wasn't pleased.

"Stop you won't be sitting with Ava you will sit over here and you won't work with her for today's class I'm setting you up with someone new today" she mentions.

"Ah come on you said it yourself Ava and I are good together" he approaches her argumentative.

"I know but Ava's a good student of mine and I don't want her to get influenced by your bad behaviour and attitude" she says nicely.
