We got to Subway and she ordered a foot long, and I did the same. Yummy real food! Hospital food is gross after you've been eating it for three days.
I have this special cream I have to put on my burns to help them heal and to reduce the chance of scarring.
I'm happy that there aren't any burns on my face. There are a few on my neck but nothing really bad, unlike my chest and abdomen. Man they hurt. The ones on my neck hurt the most but the ones on my chest are the worst.
"Hey! Are you even listening to me?" Talia said, she then proceeded to poke my face. "Hellooooo? Earth to Damien?"
"Hm, what?"
"You zoned out. You started to scare me, you didn't respond to anything I said." She looked a bit sad.
"I'm ok. No need to be worried."
"I wasn't worried. If anything I was concerned about you. I don't get worried very easily."
"Sure you don't." I rolled my eyes and she just blew her hair out from in front of her face.
I started bobbing my head when "Human" started playing. Talia looked at me and was about to speak, I hushed her as the chorus came on, I started singing along. There weren't very many people in Subway but the people that were there were giving me weird looks. Screw 'em, I love this song. I have a right to be able to be me in public.
"You are crazy, but I love you like that. You're just so cute." She made a squishy face when she said cute.
"Bleh, I am not cute. Cute is girly, I am not girly." I said looking down on her.
"I don't care, you are still cute in my eyes." She said with her mouth full, and once she swallowed she smiled.
Once again I rolled my eyes at her. She really isn't lady-like. She could possibly more manly than me. I hate to think it, but its true. She and Ashley once came over to my house to party cause my parents were on vacay. They had a burping contest and Talia won by a long shot. That could be the down fall to her plan on living as Ashley. I must say that it's good that they both acted a lot alike.
I smiled at her as she ate. "Ok, I'm done, lets go out and play!" She said, stood up and smacked the table.
The big booming noise turned heads. "Can you not be so you in public places? What do you have in mind? We could go around and write on walls."
"Nah, I want to do something productive."
"Productive? Who are you?" I looked at her like she was crazy, because she was.
"Well soooooory. Its not my fault, I was born this way." She pulled down on her bottom eye lid and stuck her tong out at me. She really is juvenile, but, hey, I love her the way she is.
"Why you go all Lady Gaga on me, girl?" I said and laughed a bit.
She snickered "Let's go to the library and go on Memebase. I love that site!"
"And you call that productive?"
"So you don't want to go look at memes?"
"Don't get me wrong, I'm game for the idea, it's just that you call the productive. It isn't, but it's fun. LET US GO!" I said as we bolted for the front door.
-----------------------------------------------------------Talia's POV------------------------------------------------------------
I got out the door first and turned to face him. I did my victory dance and stuck my tong out at him. I've been doing that a lot lately. Hm. Interesting.
