Forgetting Ashley

Chapter Nine

Ok not a very good idea for a person who has vertigo to go on a very tall Ferris wheel. I am really regretting my decision to go on here.

"Ashley, come on!" Percephonie yelled at me.

**Gulp** I stepped on to the passenger car and we were off. There is no turning back now. Every once and a while we would stop and the new people would get in to the little cars. Great. I am terrified. It's pretty closed-in in these things. Not only is my vertigo kicking in but my claustrophobia too.

"Hey look, we're at the top." Cyrus said.

My eyes jolted open and I wedged myself right beside the wall of the car. I do not want to look down.

"Ashley, look! We're so high up! Isn't this cool?" Cyrus said, he loves heights.

"Not really." I mumbled.

"What? I don't think I caught that." Cyrus said.

"I DON"T LIKE HEIGHTS! I am terrified of them!" I closed my eyes, grabbed my knees and curled up into a ball.

"Then why did you come up here?"

"I don't know, I forgot, I guess. I forgot how high Ferris wheels went." I tried to look down but I just got even dizzier.

"You idiot! If you wanted I could have stayed down on the ground with you! I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."

"Heh, we are way past that point! Can we just figure out where the limits for our game will be?"

"Ok, but Ashley-" Percephonie tried to comfort me.

"No, once we figure out where the limits are and then I shall listen to music to try and calm me down.

"Ok." Percephonie said, "So, let's say that the boat is the limit that way, the Ferris wheel is the limit this way and the concert hall is the overall limit. That leaves us with the bumper car stall, random game stalls, food stall, spinney dragons, and bathrooms. That gives us a big area but not too big." She smiled at me and then turned to the boys. "So, I'm and I think that once you're caught you have to help me find the others. Will you be playing Ashley?"

"Yah, I am the Hide 'n Go Seek champ!!!" I jolted up triumphantly and then slid back down after I saw how high we were.

We went around a few times and then we got off. We all accompanied Percephonie to the "starting area" and once she started counting, we all ran for dear life.

Percephonie is skilled. She uses everything. So in other words, is you have your phone, she will text you or call you to hear a sound so that she can catch you. And that’s why I always have my phone on vibrate!

I was hiding in one of the spiny dragons. She never said we couldn't hide IN the rides. Heh I feel like a cheater. I am a cheater.

Oh crap, there she is. The dragons started spinning around just as she was turning to look this way. I wonder what she is thinking. She's smart so she could guess I'm in one of these things.

The ride stopped and I hid outside the ride. It was a bit chilly. My scars are turning purple.

"Got you." I felt a hand on my shoulder, but the voice wasn't Percephonie's. It was Jess!

"Jess! Hide with me." We both ducked down when I saw Percephonie. "Do you think she'll mind if I play? She doesn't like me all that much you know."

"She won't mind." I smiled.

"Ok, Are you the only one?"

No way! Cyrus and Damien are playing too."

"Really?! Lets hide over there!"

"Can't."

"What do you mean by 'Can't'?"

"Well the rules are; once you have a hiding spot, you don't move, on account that this is such a big area. Also you're not allowed to go out of the limits, which are the spiny dragons, the ferries wheel, concert hall and food booths... I think."

"OK!"

"Found you." Percephonie said from behind on us "Oh, hi Jess."

"Hey Percephonie!" She smiled and waved. That Jess, she is so positive.

"So lets go find Cyrus and Damien!" I said.

"We should split up to cover more ground. Text me if you find them." Percephonie said and then ran away into the crowd. She really doesn't like Jess.

Jess and I then split up. I found Cyrus talking to his friend Eric. Once again his blonde hair gave him away.

Jess texted me that she found Damien fighting this guy with brown hair. Oh great, it's Seth. That ass.
