-------------------------------------------------------Ashley's POV--------------------------------------------------------------
Damien drove Jess, Raven and I home. I was still pondering over that guy Erik. He just didn't seem right to me. I'm probably overreacting and it's all just my imagination.
"Damien?" I said.
"Yes, Ash?" He replied. His voice was so nice; it just made me want to melt.
"I just wanted to hear your voice." I said and rested my head on his shoulder.
He chuckled a bit, "That's cute."
He dropped Raven and I off at my house and then continued to drive Jess home. It was midnight, or sometime around then. It was so dark outside. I unlocked the door and walked in. Raven continued up stairs. I stayed behind and relocked the door. Raven was already asleep by the time I got upstairs to my room. I smiled at the cuteness of the sleeping Raven.
I climbed into bed and just dosed off. My dream was hectic and sporadic. It was about Damien and that Erik guy. They were talking about me behind my back. I could hear them, and they weren't saying very nice things about me. Then they just started to kiss and touch each other. I hated it. It made me feel betrayed.
I woke up at freaking three in the morning from that freaking dream. Every time I tried to get back to sleep I couldn't, I could only think of that dream. That stupid dream.
"Ashley, go back to sleep." Raven said dozily.
"What?" I asked but she was out like a light before I even spoke.
I rolled over trying to get back to sleep again, but my attempts failed.
I laid restless for the rest of the night. Even starring at the ceiling made the dream seem more real.
When morning finally came... I checked my phone. I had ten missed calls from Jess and about fifteen messages that said "Pick up." I looked around for Raven and noticed she was gone. I bolted out of bed and ran down stairs.
"Morning." Raven said sleepily. "Hurry up and get ready, I'm going home today."
"But I thought you were staying for longer." I pleaded.
"My mom called your mom last night and wanted me home today."
She poured her cereal into a bowl and poured some milk over top. "Get some breaky ( pronounced br-eh-key) and come sit with me!"
I got some raisin toast and slathered it in Nutella. We sat on the leather couch (which was the comfiest thing to sit on first thing in the morning), we ate in silence and then went up stairs to get dressed. Raven was packing and I was lounging on my bed being the best of help "Do you think Jess is ok?" I paused "She was really broken up about Nils's death."
"You know we could be in the car right now," he huffed as she tried to close her suitcase "If you would HELP!"
"But I don't want you to leave." I got up off my bed and sat on her suitcase to make it easier for her to close it.
She panted "Thank you."
I didn't respond for almost ten seconds. "But I still wonder how Jess is handling the death of Nils."
"Oh can you stop worrying!" She hefted the suitcase onto the floor "She'll be fine."
My phone started to vibrate. I picked it up off my dresser and saw it was Jess. "Jess? Are you ok?"
"It's all your fault. You didn't do anything to help him at all and now he is dead! I loved him so much! And you didn't even care! You were too busy fraternising with Damien to even mourn your sister's death! It's all your fault!"
