it was the day before jimin was due to leave for china yet he was still at home in busan. he knew he would have to leave soon if his wanted to make it home on time but he was nervous. how would jinyoung react when he seen him? would he be mad? would yoongi be mad at him? jimin tried his best to push the thoughts away as he gathered his things together.
when he was ready to go and had his things in the car, he went to say goodbye to his brother and his mum. the two were shocked that he was actually leaving but they thought hat maybe it's a good thing. maybe jimin would finally go back to reality instead of hiding away here in busan.
"i'm gonna miss you, son. be safe when you go to china and text me how you're getting on. also, i want to meet that boyfriend of yours when you come back!"
"okay, mum. i'll be fine, don't you worry about me. i love you."
jimin hugged his mum tightly, frowning as he done so. he would definitely miss the woman. it's one of the things he hated about living in seoul, he couldn't see his family as often as he wanted.
"woojin, i hope you do great in school and you get a girlfriend." jimins brother laughed, pulling his hyung into a hug. "thank you, jiminie. i hope everything is better for you and i hope you're happy."
after he finally finished his goodbyes, jimin got into his car and started the engine, waving out the window to his family before he began to drive away, setting on his journey back to the busy city of seoul.
the one thing jimin liked most about driving alone was that he could collect his thoughts together and have some alone time. sometimes it wasn't such a good thing because he would over think every little thing that happened in his life but lately, it's what he's been needing. especially with yoongi being gone, he felt like he had no one to talk to. of course he had jinyoung, but jinyoung could never understand what he's going through.
i mean, jinyoung is basically in a relationship with mark, the guy who works in a cafe down the street. he would never get hate for that.
jimin just thought it was crazy how people could hate him so much all because he was in a relationship with someone that he adored. yoongi made jimin so happy and the younger made yoongi just as happy. maybe if his fans would realise that then just maybe they would stop sending him hate. jimin knew that was probably never happen but a boy could dream.
he continued driving with his thoughts flooding his mind and before he knew it he was parked outside his apartment building, his hands clenching on to the steering wheel. he didn't know if he could go back inside. he knew jinyoung would cry and make a big deal out of this, it's how jinyoung is.
he got out of the car and grabbed his things from the back, locking the car soon afterwards as he headed inside, continuously biting down on his bottom lip. why was he so nervous to see his best friend?
jimin pulled his suitcase up the stairs, purposely avoiding taking the elevator. he didn't want to be up sooner than necessary. once he reached the top of the stairs, he took slow steps over to the door of his apartment, lifting his hand up to knock on the door since had forgot his key there before he left. as he waited for jinyoung to open the door, his heart began beating faster and faster. he was going to have to tell jinyoung everything before he left.
soon the door opened and jimin was greeted with a shirtless, messy haired jinyoung who was scratching the back of his neck with eyes that were barely open. "oh did i wake you?"
"oh my god, jimin!! where have you been? I've missed you so much oh my god." jinyoung grabbed jimins hand and pulled him in for a tight hug, wrapping his arms tightly around the youngers shoulders. jimin slowly lifted his arms up and wrapped them around jinyoungs body. he couldn't deny that he missed jinyoung because he'd most definitely did.
"jinyoung, i'm sorry i left so sudden."
"just shut up and get in here." jinyoung grabbed jimins arm, taking the suitcase in his free hand, dragging them both inside the apartment. jimin couldn't deny that he missed his apartment, especially not when the all too familiar smell of home hit him right in the face. jimin took a deep breath in. the only thing missing was yoongi.
"who are you talking to babe— oh jimin! oh my god, when did you come home?" madk rushed over to jimin, his eyebrows raised so high that they may as well have been half way up his forehead. jimin just giggled, the first time he had made that sound in a long time. "i came back just a minute ago." jimin shoved his hands in his pockets. he felt like he was gone for years. "are you two together or?..."
mark and jinyoung looked at each other with smiles that could only mean one thing. "yes we are." the two of them said at the exact same time. jimin was happy for his friends, especially after what the two of them had to go through. at least now they could make each other happy. "that's cute. congratulations you guys. well, im gonna go pack for china, gotta get all of this washed."
"you're still going to china?"
"yeah... is that a problem?"
"no, not at all. of course not. it's just... well... i missed you and you're leaving again." jinyoung tried to hide his disappointment but that was impossible to do. it was just too obvious. "i'm sorry hyung. when i finish we could spend time together before i leave. that is if you're free of course."
"marks going to work soon so yeah, i'm free. go you get your stuff ready and i'll see you when you're done."
"thank you, hyung." jimin grabbed his suitcase and began walking towards his bedroom, pushing the door open.
"jimin?"
"yeah, hyung?" jimin stopped walking and looked behind him at his best friend, a small smile on his lips as he raised his eyebrows.
"it's great to have you home."
