Chessa, couple or friends?

A New Start

Jake's POV

*At the cafe*

Everyone is at the cafe. I called everyone here so we could have some time together. All this drama is breaking us apart. Plus, Erika and I have a meeting and the others all have plans for later. 

I see Chance and Tessa walk in the door. "Yo, guys why are you so late. Team 10 and I have been waiting for like 5 minutes."

Chance replies "Sorry guys, we must have slept in a little late." 

"We?" Erika asks.

"Oh, did I say we? I mean, I slept in late. I don't know about Tessa. I woke up and she was still at the house. So we just walked here together."

Everyone was skeptical. "Ok..."

Chance's POV

I can't believe I almost gave it away! Well technically Tessa and I aren't dating again but I really want to. I think I might ask her out tomorrow. I'll wait and see what Tony thinks. 

Tessa's POV

I wish Chance and I were still dating. He's been acting a lot nicer around me. Does he think of me as a friend? Or more? 

*Later that day*

It was just me and Chance at the house. We were chilling on the couch and I felt my eyes slowly closing. I snuggled to Chance's side and laid my head on his chest. I smiled with delight as he put his arm around me. 

I felt someone pick me up. It must've been Chance. He carried me up the stairs and gently placed me on the bed. By then I was half awake, I felt him kiss the top of my head. I heard him whisper something. I couldn't quite hear what he said but I heard the last two words. And to my amazement, those last two words were "love you." I heard the sounds of his steps get fainter and fainter. I finally managed to whisper Chance. I opened my eyes and there he was at my door. 

"Do you need something Tessa?"

"Could you stay with me tonight?" I asked hoping for a yes.

"Of course. But there was something I was meaning to talk to you about"

This was the time. The talk. 

"Tessa, I love you. I always have. When we broke up I didn't know how to move on. I still haven't. I just want to start over. Tessa Brooks, will you be my girlfriend? Again?"

I was smiling from ear to ear. 

I nodded my head vigorously and said yes over and over again. 

He smiled and laid in bed with me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in closer. He kissed my head and next thing I know the love of my life is softly snoring next to me.
