Chessa, couple or friends?

Explanations

Tessa's POV

I wait on the couch for Chance to come running in and trying to explain everything. But I'm going to let him know that there's nothing to explain. He cheated on me and that's final. The fact that he cheated on me right before our 1 month anniversary is just plain shallow of him. I bet he forgot about it, that idiot.

 I hear steps and prepare myself for a rollercoaster of emotions. 

Chance bursts in the house. "Tessa, let me explain!"

"Chance, there's nothing to explain. I'm not good enough you. I get it." I say giving him a small glare.

He looks at me with astonishment. "I'm serious Tessa. It's not what you think it is." He gives me a pleading look. The puppy eyes, the small whine, everything. 

My heart just melts and gives in. 

"Alright, you have a minute. Go." I turn around and stare at the floor.

"Okay so basically I was at Jessica's house for one reason. Not for something else, but I was there to plan something. Something for you. Something I thought we would enjoy. Together. It was for tomorrow, I was planning a big celebration for our 1 month anniversary. I would never forget it."

I turn around and look up at him. 

"Please, Tessa! Believe me. Ask Jessica we didn't do anything. Go to her house and have her explain. I would never do something like that to you and she wouldn't either." 

"Why did you go to Jessica? Why not anyone else?" I asked, still not believing him. 

"I knew Jessica was your best friend from dance. I knew she would know everything about you, what you wanted, what you dreamed. I wanted to make that dream come true. Forgive me? I promise I have something big planned tomorrow. Let's just go to sleep, and tomorrow you're going to wake up to something spectacular waiting for you."

I look into his eyes. I look at his pleading smile. I look at his hands. I hold his hands and kiss him on the cheek. He looks happy. I'm happy too. 

"I forgive you. I overreacted."

"It's okay. You did nothing wrong." He replies with that smile I love.

We head upstairs and drift off to sleep.

I wonder what Chance had planned...
