Rexter three

Chapter 12

Dexter got out of his bath and got change. He walked out to find Raven sleeping on their bed, but with Anastasia hovering over her. "Hello, Dexterous." Dexter walked up to Raven and pulled some covers over her. "It's just Dexter if you don't mind." Dexter looked up at Anastasia. "Oh, sorry. She's very pretty." Dexter nodded, and then he kissed Raven's forehead. "Hey, um, can we talk?" Dexter asked. Anastasia nodded, and Dexter walked out of the room with Anastasia floating next to him. "I need to know. My mom said that my family may defeat Veronica in the future, and I need to know. Is my family in danger?" Dexter asked as they walked down a long hallway. "Well, for now, no. But as your family will grow, you will need to keep a lookout for danger around any corner. I don't know what Veronica has in mind for your family. She's always been in control, and when she was sleeping one night, long before you were born, she had a dream about a man, a woman, and three young teenagers fighting her. The woman and man were very powerful together, and the teenagers were even stronger when they worked together, and when the family came together to fight her, Veronica's dream stopped and she woke up," Anastasia looked at Dexter. "She went to talk to an Oracle to see what her dream meant. The Oracle said that her nephew and his family will take her out of power. Well, that's the short version of what she said. Veronica got scared, she teleported to talk with your mother. They fought for about an hour. Some threats were made toward Daring, your mother didn't know she was pregnant with you and Darling at the time. No one dared to interfere with the fight, only your father, the king did when he heard Veronica threaten his only son at the time. He told Veronica to leave his kingdom now or he would get his knight's too. Veronica laughed. "Your knights are no match for me," Veronica said to your father. "I'll be on my way...Soon. Only after I see Daring." Your mother chuckled at her comment. She said not in a million years would she let her near Daring. Veronica sighed and she teleported to Daring's nursery. When she saw that daring had blond hair she laughed, for in her dream the man had brown hair. So she left the nursery just as your mother came in." Dexter had no words. "There is more. Do want me to go on?" Dexter nodded. "So, Veronica thought nothing of her dreams for some time, she thought her dream was wrong and nothing would hurt her. After your mother gave birth to you and Darling, she told all her subjects to keep quiet about the birth of her twins, for there is evil outside of her kingdom who is after her kids. Her subject where scared when they heard about the evil that lurked outside of their kingdom, so they all agreed to keep quiet about the birth of the prince and the princess. But somehow Veronica found out. We still don't know who told her, but when Veronica found out she went to see you and your sister. She teleported to your nursery while you slept. When Veronica saw that you had brown hair she was terrified. She didn't know I was watching her, but she put a spell on you. I don't remember the word she used but I knew at that moment she thought of it herself. After she left I went to get your mother. We didn't know at the time what she had done exactly until you started to walk. You bumped into thing all the time. So your mother got your eyes checked. When she found out you could barely see, that you're going to need glasses, your mother found out what Veronica did to you right then and there." Dexter was confused. "You look puzzled." Dexter nodded. "How could my mother know that Veronica did that to me. I mean, I could just have bad vision." Anastasia nodded. "I thought that too. It turns out that you're the very first Charming to need glasses. From the very first Charming up to you, no one ever needed glasses. So my sister was convinced that that's what Veronica did to you. She thought Veronica wanted you to have a weakness." Dexter still looked confused. "Raven's going to be having twins, not triplets. And you said that in Veronica's dream I had three children around the same age. Does that mean Raven and I are going to have other kid soon after the twins are born?" Anastasia shrugged. "I'm not sure. You'll have to wait and see." As soon as Anastasia said that, she was gone. "Hey, Dexter," Darling said as she walked around the corner. "How's it going?" Dexter tried to smile. "Um, it's going. You?" Darling shrugged. "Same. Hey, have you seen mom? I need to ask her something." Dexter thought for a moment. "Um, last time I knew she was in the garden." Darling looked Dexter in his eyes. "You ok Dex? You look sad, but not. You know what I mean?" Dexter didn't, but he nodded anyway. "Um, I just...Have...Too...Talk with Raven. That's right. I have to talk with Raven." Dexter did a fake smile. "Um, ok. Nice talking with you, I guess." Darling said as she turned around and walked towards the garden. Dexter let out a sigh of relief and walked back to his room to check on Raven. He needed to talk with Raven when she woke up.
