Rexter three

Chapter 14

Dexter couldn't sleep, so while Raven slept soundly he got out of bed and headed for the palace garden. Dexter lay on the ground looking at the stars. Dexter closed his eyes and heard a female voice say "Well, you must be Dexterous." Dexter stood up to see a woman all in black standing in front of him. "Who are you?" Dexter asked but deep down he already knew.                "My name is Veronica..." She smirked, "But you already knew that." She said as she walked closer towards Dexter. Dexter stepped back. "Now don't be scared, I won't hurt...Yet." Dexter looked around to find something he could defend himself with. "Why are you here," Dexter said as he stepped back. "Oh, I'm not here, this is just a clone I made of myself. I wouldn't risk seeing you in person. You're too powerful for me...As of right now." Veronica circled around Dexter. "But to answer your question, I sent this clone to see you and your soon to be wife...I never found out her name." Veronica was standing in front of Dexter know. "And you'll never will." A voice said to Veronica. Before Dexter or Veronica could see who said that, there was a purple flame that sent the clone on fire. Raven ran towards Dexter and grabbed his hand. "Run!" Raven said. Dexter and Raven ran back to there room, not once looking behind them. Once in their room, Raven put what Dexter thought a protection spell around there room. "Dex, are you ok? Did she hurt you!?!" Raven said walking towards Dexter. "No, I'm fine. How did you know I was in the garden?" Raven sat on their bed catching her breath. "I woke up because I had to go to the bathroom, but I saw you weren't in bed, so after I went to the bathroom I went looking for you. When I found you in the garden, there was a woman and you looked scared. I put two and two together and I figured that the woman was Veronica. And you saw the rest." Dexter sat next to Raven. "We had to get out of here." Raven put her head on Dexter's shoulder. "Agreed. We'll start packing tomorrow, but for now, let's get as much sleep as we can." Raven got up and walked to her side of the bed, and Dexter did the same. They both got under there cover and fell asleep holding hands. 

Raven woke up to Dexter shaking her. Raven sat up. "What's wrong?" Dexter sat down next to her. "Nothing, but I can't get out. Whatever spell you put on the door last night won't let me leave to go eat breakfast." Raven chuckled. "Sorry." Raven got out of bed and took off the spell. She and Dexter went to go eat breakfast. They walked down the stairs to the smell of lavender pancakes with some other breakfast foods. "Mmm, smells good." Dexter and Raven said at the same time. They both laughed. Raven and Dexter walked into the dining room and sat down next to each other. "How did you sleep?" Darling asked as she sat down. Dexter's mom walked in and she took her seat. "Oh, um..." Dexter didn't want to say that Veronica came for a visit in front of Darling. Dexter was still hesitating, so Raven answered Darling. "Well, I slept well for the most part. I had a weird dream of a witch who called herself...Veronica." The Queen jerked her had up at Raven. "You'll have to tell me more about that dream at some point, Raven." The Queen said. Raven looked at her and nodded. Dexter grabbed Raven's hand under the table. 

After breakfast, Raven and Dexter talked to The Queen and told her everything. "That can't be good." The Queen shook her head. "That's why we'll be moving to the beach house," Raven said. "So we'll be safe." The Queen shook her head. "Veronica has friends all over the place, you have to start a new life...Outside of ever after. I know I told you two that it would be fine as long as you move away from here. But Veronica coming here..." The Queen shook her head. "You both need to leave Ever After. She knows you live in Ever After, nowhere is safe for you. I'm sorry." Raven felt a tear fall down her face. Raven's dad lived in Ever After, Darling lived in Ever After, Maddie lives here. Raven couldn't bear to think about leaving anyone of them. "There has to be another way," Dexter said as he grabbed hold of Raven hand. "I'm sorry you were born into a cursed family, but before you leave Dexter I have to tell you more about your power's." Dexter shook his head. "No...No. Mom, you can't just say something like that and just act like nothing is wrong. I will think of another way." Dexter and Raven went to leave but they both felt a sting in there head and they blacked out. 

Raven and Dexter woke up in a room on a bed. "What happened?" Raven asked sitting up. "I-I don't know...But we must have been out for a while." Dexter put his hand on Raven stomach. Raven looked down at her stomach, it was huge. "What!?! I-I...." Raven stood up as fast as she could being six months pregnant and all. Dexter looked around the room and found a letter. "Raven look." Dexter walked over towards Raven. Dexter read the letter out loud.

Dear Raven and Dexter,

I'm sorry for doing this to you, but I had your best interest in mind I swear. You are both in the land of Fama. Only you two and a robotic maid is with you in this land. She has everything you need to know programmed into her, and for you Raven, when your children are ready to be born she has a doctor program built into her. My spell put you guy into a coma-like state for about five months. I'm sorry to say this but, by the time you read this,"   

  Dexter paused and stared at the letter. "What?" Raven asked. Dexter took a deep breath. "By the time you read this letter....Everyone will think you died in a carriage accident." Raven put her hand up to her mouth and started to cry. "What else (Sniff) does it say?" Raven asked. Dexter continued. "I'm very sorry, but I had to. I hope you will forgive me one day. love, mom. P.S. The androids name is Rey.

Raven didn't know what to do, what to feel, nothing. Dexter felt the same. "I'm sorry Raven I truly am. I-" Raven cut him off. "You have nothing to apologize for. She does." Raven hugged Dexter, and he stroked her hair. "We'll figure this out. I know we will." Dexter kissed Raven.
