I hug him in complete and utter shock. He's my brother. I have a brother! How is this possible! I feel tears slip down my face, and land on his shoulder. Happy tears, of course. Tears of shock. I take my glasses off and a dim white light laces the air, and then I close my eyes. I meet a guy two days ago and he turns out to be my brother. Like, when does that happen? We pull away and I open my eyes, looking at him.

"Is this real?" I whisper, wiping away stray tears. He smiles, letting out a soft chuckle.

"Yeah, I think it is," he replies. I grin and look at him. Now that I'm aware, we look a lot alike. Same dark brown hair with bangs, same body type, even the same eye color behind the white glow we both have pale blue eyes). Now I really just wanna go back to the hybrid house and fangirl...

"It makes sense, I mean, we look similar, we both heard that voice, whatever that was, and-" I break off. And we both were immune to the potion. I say to him inside my mind. He nods, and then his attention is snatched away as the door opens and Ty walks back in, looking almost exhausted.

"Well that wa-" he breaks off when he sees our happy expressions. He squints his eyes at us suspiciously, especially Adam. "What's going on here. I dunno bout Val, but Adam, I don't trust you when you have that look on your face." I struggle to hold in my laugher, and Adam pouts at Ty. I shake my head.

"Look." I say, flipping my amulet over to show the neatly written name. Adam turns his own over as well, and holds it next to mine. Ty's dark purple eyes dart back and forth between the two, bewilderment showing in his expression. Behind it I see dark pain, hidden away. Curiosity claws at my mind, but I push it away and grin. "Figure it out yet?" I ask, faking an impassioned tone. A smile spreads across his face. "Holy sh*t!" He says, and we laugh. "Yeah, I know right!" I say. "You'd never think this goof is my older brother, emphasis on older." I say.

"Hey!" Adam protests. "It may be true, but you don't have to point it out!" [something I say all to much] We all start laughing and get up to leave, walking out the door together. "You're siblings? And you just now figured it out?" he says exasperated. I laugh, embarrassed. "Haha, yeah..." I say, scratching the back awkwardly. Ty facepalms and we keep talking, laughing at our own stupidity. After a bit we find ourselves in the park, which is surprisingly busy today. All that means is that there are about thirty or more people spread out in the area. I hear Adam make a noise, and I turn to see he had bumped into someone. It was a girl, our age, with short light brown hair and a bang. Wolf ears sit on top of her head, and she wears her hybrid group's customary red sweatshirt.

"Sorry, I got distracted." Adam apologizes. The girl smiles, waving her hand. "It's fine, don't worry." She says. "I'm Marie, you're Adam right? I saw you when you first came yesterday." He nods and smiles. "Yeah, that's me." I glance at Ty and motion with my head that we should keep moving. "See you back at the house, Adam!" I say, and me and Ty keep walking. I look at him and grin. "I don't even need to say anything." He says as we round the corner. I nod my head. "That's just what I was thinking."
