Alexander David Turner
"Go on, Autumn," I smile at her. It seemed that Christmas morning, all I did was that; smile. She didn't have to say anything, but she practically beamed, and she wasn't reflecting light. It was all her.
She kisses me briefly and runs to the living room, sitting comfortably and charming everyone with her crude humour and charisma. After observing carefully, I joined her to share her new member thunder, wrapping my arm around her and holding her tight.
"Not too tight now, Turner," she laughed, kissing me on the cheek, proceeding to then lay her dishevelled head on my lap.
"What we're all wondering is how Turner managed to win you over," Matt's mother, Jill, asked, not hesitating at all, perhaps even looking smug.
"Jill," I say quietly, trying to contain the redness in my cheeks by not looking at Autumn or confronting the fact that she was on my lap.
Autumn turns to her side, and faces Jill. "Well Jill," she sighs, "he's still working on it," she giggled, and everyone else, not to my surprise, failed to contain their laughter.
"Seriously, Chloe Radford," Jamie says. "Nothing against Alex here, but finding someone else wouldn't be hard for you, right?"
"That has nothing to do with it, though. I know it seems odd that someone with my shining reputation," she breaks her speech with a laugh, "is with someone like Alex but I think I'm happy. Alex is a great guy," she says looking up at me, with that dazed, dreamy look I'd missed.
She squeezes my thigh and gets up, proceeding to now lean against my shoulder. Everyone's split conversations continued, but I couldn't gather the strength to turn away from her. "Let's go upstairs, Autumn."
She smiled, very big. "Horny? On christmas morning?" She whispered in my ear, the hot breath reaching to the nape of my neck. I didn't say anything. I got hold of her hand and almost dragged her upstairs to my bedroom.
"Lie down, Autumn," I whisper, but push her against the bed anyways. I prop myself on top of her and kiss her very fast. In shock, she slowly brings her hands up to my neck and holds me, kissing me back just as hard, before I pull away from her. Her dazed look remains.
"Autumn I-"
"like me a lot, I know," she smiles and kisses me back briefly. "But I don't wanna fuck you as hard as I want with your mother downstairs. If you can control yourself, we can stay here."
I nod and we lie together, still on my bed. "Aw, don't pout. We can do other things that will spare you temporarily," she smirks, her hands on my boxer shorts.
I push her hand off, staring at her, wondering if she really was that stupid. "You know that's not what I'm pissed about," I say sternly.
Our eyes lock for a minute. She sits upright. "Well I can't fucking read your mind all the time, now can I?" She mumbles.
I scoff. "You have to read my mind? What about the millions of secrets that you haven't told me?" I say, shocked that I was saying all of this.
She shakes her head silently. "How do you expect me to just change and be ready for all of this? I'm trying but-"
"Listen, Autumn. If you're gonna be with me, you have to be honest with me. I don't want to guess and find clues to know what's going on," I say, my voice remaining stern with her.
"I'm gonna go get some fresh air. Is that clear enough for you?" She rolls her eyes and exits my room.
"Autumn, wait," I grumble, stepping off the bed and running downstairs to catch her in time. I hated letting her slip out of my fingers all the time.
"Where's Autumn?" I ask, slightly out of breath as I run downstairs to the living room.
"She went out on a walk with the boys," mum smiled, probably thinking what I was. Autumn wasn't going anywhere just yet.
