Robin was watching the security cameras. It wasn't unusual, no, he almost watched them every day. Slade had recently come back into play since a Trigon's defeat, and he was watching the team for any sign of weakness, including, love.
So there he sat, watching every camera. There was no camera in their rooms, but he could make the doors open from the control room and see if anyone was inside. Right now, all the Titans except him were watching a horror movie.
When the movie ended, every one except Raven and Beast Boy headed for bed. Raven was getting some herbal tea while Beast Boy seemed to be watching her. Curious. He saw as Beast Boy started to talk to her. He turned up the speaker.
"Hey RaeRae."
"What do you want Beast Boy?" Raven replied monotonously, not even the slightest bit surprised he had stayed after. That seemed weird.
"I've got something to show you." He replied, wiggling his eyebrows. "In my room." He slung his arm around her. This didn't sound good.
"I hope that's not what it sounds like." She replied, still without emotion. Robin was dumbstruck. What was going on between these two? Beast Boy's arm was still around Raven's shoulders. Usually he'd get thrown out a window if he even attempted that.
Beast Boy looked shocked. "No! Of course it isn't! It's a gift I've been working on for the last couple of days. It's in my room."
"So that's why you were so distant. I thought my Beastie was getting sick." She replied, a hint of sarcasm underlining it. Hmmm. Even more curious. Her Beastie.
"Alas, my fair maiden, I am not sick. For I have been working on a present for thee!" He offered her his hand and she took it, giggling.
"Alright Gar. Let us go and see thy gift to thee!" She said in the same accent, but this time, you could sense her emotions under it. She was loosening up. Also, she called him by his real name. When did that start happening?
They walked through the hallways, Robin watching them on the camera. They were holding hands. Were they in a relationship? This was most curious.
They made it too Beast Boy's room. He shut the door and Robin turned up the speakers just enough so you could hear Raven's gasp of surprise and a loud, smooch! This was enough. The bird was going in.
Robin walked out of the control room and into the hallway. He waited around the corner till Raven walked back to her room, hand over her heart. He then headed to Beast Boy's room and punched in the code, letting him enter. Beast Boy had been sitting at his desk, and he jumped up when he saw him.
"Oh, uh, hi Robin. Anything you, uh, need?"
The door shut behind him and he heard Beast Boy suck in a breath, staring at the door. Robin, being the suspicious person he was, followed his eyes to the door, and, using one eye so he could still watch Beast Boy, he looked at the door.
He gasped. A giant purple heart was on the door. It was made from different sheets of green paper, and the heart had different pictures of him and Raven. Raven kissing his cheek. Beast Boy tickling Raven. Angry Raven and the Beast standing side-by-side. But every picture included Raven and him. Robin turned to face the door entirely. Such love was emitted from this work of art. He couldn't believe his eyes could behold this collage on Beast Boy's door. It was a symbol of their love.
Without turning to face him, Robin questioned him. "How long?"
"Maybe a year and a half." Beast Boy replied.
"You should've said something."
"You would've separated us." It was true, no doubt. If they had told the team he would've separated them harshly. The number one rule in his Tower was no dating. It just provided you with an even bigger weakness.
"I won't now."
"What?"
"Go get Raven, bring her in here."
"O-okay." He ran off to Raven's room. Robin looked at the portrait again. He couldn't separate such love. That would make him a monster.
Raven and Beast Boy came running in, both with alarmed expressions.
"Relax. It's not like I'm going to kill you."
"But you're gonna separate us." Raven's purple eyes were full of tears. They were slowly falling down her cheeks. Beast Boy wiped the tears away, hugged her, and turned back to Robin.
"Well, are you?"
"..."
"Spit it out Robin."
"No." He whispered. "This love is too beautiful to erase. You deserve each other. I mean, look at this!" He gestured to the collage of purple and green with a mess of pictures before continuing. "I mean, if I had only a speck of this love, I would treasure it forever. I can't take it away. It's not right." Raven's started bawling and came and hugged him. Robin was shocked because usually Raven is so calm, and now she's crying into his shoulder. Weird turn of events.
Beast Boy shook my hand and whispered, "Thank you," before picking Raven up and kissing her. On the lips. Robin cleared his threat and the two lovebirds broke apart. "So I guess I'm getting rid of one Tower rule."
"You don't know how much this means to us." Beast Boy said, shaking his head. "Thanks dude."
Robin smiled and said, "Well that also means Star and I can keep our relationship open. So thank you." Robin then ran down the hallway with a stupid grin to Star's room, leaving two shocked lovebirds behind him.
