Raven was in the kitchen early that morning. She had gotten up from a nightmare, and having tried to go back to sleep for some time and failed, she decided to head to the common room.

The smell of eggs had greeted her as she walked in through the door.

"Hey Rae." A voice called. Startled, Raven turned around to see Beast Boy, a fluffy pink apron tied around his waist. She stared at it.

Seeing her stare, Beast Boy looked down and gasped. He quickly undid the apron and hid it behind his back. Raven smirked.

"You saw nothing." He said.

"I can't vouch for that." She replied cooly, heading for the kettle. "I definitely saw something. It looked pink. And fuzzy. And had ruffles." He looked scared.

She turned around and busted herself with the kettle until an arm wrapped around her waist. Glaring, she turned to see Beast Boy, a big smile on his face.

"What do you want?"

"I'm here to offer you a deal."

"If it's stupid I'm not interested."

He fake-gasped. "How can a little tofu war be stupid?"

Not catching his meaning, she frowned. "What's a tofu war?"

In response, tofu landed right on her face. "Gotcha!" Beast Boy called.

Her eyes went red as the foundation of the Tower began to shake. Every tofu block in the entire house rose into the air and were pointed right at Beast Boy. He gulped and tried to snatch one out of the air, presumably to distract Raven. It didn't work. She snapped her fingers. Tofu blocks were thrown from every angle.

Raven, uncharacteristically, whooped. "I got you!" She screeched. However, when the dust cleared, Beast Boy was no where to be seen. "Beast Boy?" She called. However, the common room was full of tofu. The white blocks were everywhere. Green things were nowhere.

Gosh, she thought, I hit him way too hard. What if he's dead? She whimpered a little at the thought. She sat down on the tofu and began to dig underneath it. She probably could've used her powers, but she was way to anxious for that.

A hint of green was spotted near the door. "Beast Boy!" She screeched. He had tofu on his hair. "Where were you?"

"Hiding." He grinned at her as her hair rose over her head.

"You were hiding while letting me think I killed you?!" His smile dispersed.

"What?"

"I thought I killed you under mounds of tofu! I thought I..." her voice cracked. Beast Boy put his arms around her and she willingly leaned in to the embrace.

"I'm always gonna be right here. Even if we do have a tofu war in the kitchen." She giggled a little.

"Thanks Beast Boy." He stroked her hair before she pulled away. Something had changed between them in the last couple of minutes. Something electric.

However, they didn't get to feel the new emotion for very long before Robin, Star and Cyborg knocked down the door. They looked around in wonder as Robin seethed.

"You two are cleaning this mess up. Now!" So, the rest of the day involved mops and wipes. But, that was the start of something new. That would eventually lead to love.

Short and sweet. I hope. Sorry for the shortness, I promise the next will be longer! And thx for reading my book to this chapter, wow, it's been so long since the beginning. Anyway, I thought this one-shot was a little to quick, so let me know what you think. Good? Bad? Needs some work? I'll edit this eventually!
