Okay, so I love Hamilton right now, so I decided to make a one-shot about it using some of the lyrics. All credit to Lin-Manuel Miranda!

Beast Boy's POV
I was headed to the bathroom that Rae and I share on our floor. I had brought a video game with me just in case Raven was still in the shower, since I have no patience for anything. I yawned, feeling like I had stayed up till midnight last night, even though I hadn't.

My stomach growled and I moaned. I really needed some tofu right now. It's really too bad Cy and the rest of the Titans don't try it. I used to think it was gross, but I had the guts to try it and had loved it ever since.

The hallways were bright and cheery, since the morning sunlight was filtering through the windows. I sighed. It was going to be a great day.

The bathroom door was blue. That was the only clue any newbie to the Tower would get about the door. As I neared it I heard someone humming. I widened my stride and practically ran to the door, wondering who it was. Raven didn't hum. Right?

I leaned against the door and heard someone humming something again. I couldn't confirm if it was Raven, but the shower was definitely running. All of the sudden an angel's voice echoed through the door.

"You say
The price of my love's not a price that you're willing to pay.
You cry
At your tea which you hurl in the sea when you see me go by.
Why so sad?
Remember we made an arrangement when you went away
You were mine to subdue.
Remember despite our estrangement
I'm your man.
You'll be back.
Soon you'll see.
You'll remember you belong to me.
You'll be back.
Time will tell.
You'll remember that I served you well.
Oceans rise.
Empires fallllll!
We have seen each other, through it all,
And when push
Comes to shove
I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love!
Da da da dat da dat da da da ya da
Da da dat dat da ya da!"

She went back to humming, leaving me transfixed at the door. What was that song? Wow, could Rae sing. Why didn't she do it for us before?

The shower turned off and I heard Rae, still humming, shuffling around. I didn't realize she was going to open the door until she did, and I almost screamed. She gasped then shook her had at me.

"Beast Boy, What were you doing?"

"I heard you singing." I muttered. She flushed red.

"What was that song?" I asked, excited. She seemed to hesitate.

"I'll tell you," I jumped for joy, "If....you agree to not tell the Titans about me singing." She replied.

"Deal!" I chirped happily, not even caring.

"It's a song from the musical Hamilton, and it's called "You'll Be Back." It's made as a message to the original thirteen colonies by King George...and it's kind of catchy." She muttered the last part quietly.

"Woah. That sounds cool! Did you memorize it?"

Yep. I doubt you could do the same." She replied sassily.

"Oh yeah? Is that a challenge? I will memorize that song in one day. Tomorrow, I will start and by tomorrow night, I will know it." She narrowed her eyes.

"Is there a catch?" She asked.

"If I win, you owe me a kiss." I replied, with pleasure. She blushed and drew her hood up.

"And if I win, you're my personal slave for a week." She grinned and I shivered. It was worth it though.

"Let's do it. I will beat you. And you will plant a kiss right here!" I pointed to my lips. Rae drew her face deeper into her hood.

"You're on. And I memorized it in half that time." She sniffed, then walked to her room, her sopping hair slapping me in the face as she turned.

I went in the bathroom and turned on the shower. This was going to be interesting.

***TIME JUMP***
The next day dawned over the horizon like a pile of gold. It was barely five o' clock, but I was already up and on my phone. I had searched up the song lyrics and was trying to memorize them.

"You say,
The price of my love's not a price that you're willing to pay.
You wail....Wait, that's not right!
You cry...."

I forgot the next part and silently scolded myself before trying again. And again. And again. The song was SO hard to memorize (A/N It took me a full weekend to memorize it! But I have remembered it since then so hah!). I kept messing up on these tiny little parts I knew Raven would catch.

I knew my strategy wasn't working. I needed something to help me learn it. I tried to write down the lyrics, but my hand started to hurt after I had just started the chorus. Nope. I looked up an animation on YouTube and thought watching the pictures would help me, but they distracted me. Ugh! Why was this so hard!

I grabbed my sketch book. No one knows I have this. It's my little secret. I found myself doodling, not really paying attention to my work, and when I was finished, I looked up and sucked in a breath.

My drawing of King George looked back at me. It was pretty good, for me. By now, it was ten o' clock, and everyone would be awake. I sighed, then looked back at my drawing. I could just imagine him saying the words.

I bolted upright in my seat. That was it! I'd make an animatic of it myself, and learn the song as I imagined the people singing it! I knew I could do it. I started to work. This was going to take a long time. But I would finish it by the end of today, and with any luck, I would have it memorized.

***TIME JUMP***
Narrator POV
It was around four o' clock in the afternoon, and Raven had a small grin on her face. His time was almost up, and he hadn't memorized the song yet.

"I knew he couldn't do it." She muttered, almost silently.

"Then you underestimated me Ravie." I voice said into her ear. She screamed and jumped up to find Beast Boy laughing his head off. Everyone in the Tower was in the common room, and they looked up.

"Did you memorize it?" Raven asked, trying to calm her quivering nerves and cover up her embarrassment.

"Yes." He responded with a gleeful smile, pointing to his lips. She flushed and drew her hood up.

"Prove it."

He grabbed his phone and connected it to the Titans huge T.V. He searched up something on YouTube and clicked play.

An animation came up on the screen. As the music came on, Beast Boy began to sing along with the animation.

"You say,
The price of my love's not a price that you're willing to pay.
You cry,
At your tea which you hurl in the seas when you see me go by..."

And on and on it went, Beast Boy recognizing every word. Raven caught herself quietly singing it too. When it was over, he looked at her.

"I made that."

"Made what?" She asked, confused.

"That animation. I drew the pictures." He smugly smiled when Raven looked impressed.

"I didn't know you could draw." She asked, eyebrow raised. He showed her his sketch book and her eyebrows traveled higher and higher up her head.

"Now. What did you owe me?" He asked, grinning. She stood up and dragged him to the hallway.

"Don't you ever tell anyone about this." She threatened. He nodded.

They leaned in and slowly, surely, their lips met. Fireworks erupted inside them and they instantly broke apart.

"Did you feel that?" Beast Boy asked dreamily.

Raven caught herself nodding. "How about you memorize another Hamilton song, and I'll give you another." He eagerly grinned.

Who knew Hamilton would be the cause of a relationship, marriage, and family.

Who knew.
