"No!"

Noelle pushed Andrew away and jumped up. She walked over to the opposite side of the room and looked at Andrew with the expressions of shock and surprise clear on her face.

"What's wrong?" Andrew asked nervously, standing up as well.

Noelle shook her head furiously and said, "we can't do this."

"But w-why Noelle?" Andrew stepped forward and started reaching a hand out towards Noelle but stopped himself as he took in her almost scared expression.

"Because I'm an angel, don't you understand why nothing would work out between us?"

Andrew shook his head and took another step forward so he was standing right in front of Noelle. "I like you Noelle. I wasn't sure before but I am now and the fact that you're an angel isn't going to change that. Trust me!"

Noelle looked up at Andrew and he could see the sadness in her eyes before she replied softly, "there are laws against this Andrew. Humans and angels aren't supposed to mix, it's one of our most ancient laws. I'm sorry but nothing can happen between us."

Andrew sighed and nodded slightly before suddenly looking back into her eyes with a small spark of hope. "Wait, just answer this one question truthfully, would you? Do you have any feelings for me?"

Noelle's eyes widened slightly before she looked down at the floor, suddenly feeling at a loss for words. Crossing her arms, she pursed her lips as she realised that she was unable to deny the thought. "I...I don't know."

A small smile grew on Andrew's face as he watched her stare at the floor in conflict. Suddenly, the sound of thunder broke the silence and Andrew slightly jumped at the sound. His eyes widened as he glanced outside the window.

"Noelle, look!" he yelled, grabbing Noelle's arm and making her face the window behind her.

Looking outside the window, they could see darkness emanating from a certain part of the city. A sort of black mist was surrounding that area all the way to the sky. Even the clouds all around had become a dark grey and the sun was completely hidden.

Feeling a sudden chill, Noelle's heart raced as she stared at the darkness. "He's here."

"Wait, you don't mean the-?" Andrew trailed off, his heart suddenly leaping to his throat.

"Yes Andrew, Satan's here and we have to get to wherever he is before he can start killing any humans, assuming he hasn't already," Noelle said in a grave tone.

"Okay, but how will we get there? The roads are probably blocked since it looks like a storm's coming," Andrew said.

Noelle looked outside the window at the dark mist before she slowly nodded to herself and turned back to Andrew. "In a case as extreme as this, I think it's okay if I take us there."

"What do you mean?" Andrew asked, watching as Noelle grabbed her sword and held it firmly in her hands before she gestured for him to do the same.

"I mean that we'll fly there. It's about time these wings of mine had some exercise. Now, let's go! We have no more time to lose." With that, Noelle ran out of the dojo with Andrew following close behind.

As soon as she stepped out onto the open ground, Noelle's wings sprouted from her shoulder blades and unfolded majestically just as it did the last time Andrew had seen it. "Okay, now it's going to be a little tricky to carry both of us there but I think my wings can handle it."

Noelle then gestured for Andrew to stand in front of her. As soon as he was in position, she wrapped her arms around his chest and guided his arms around her own body, navigating a path between her wings.
