Where am I?That's the first thought that crossed her mind as she slowly albeit a little painfully, opened her eyes. She looked around herself to find that she was in some sort of room, in front of a blazing fire, but she couldn't seem to figure out exactly where. She slowly pushed the blanket off her body and swung her legs off the bed so that she was in a sitting position. Taking in the warm, homely vibe of the room, she felt like snuggling back down into bed but she knew that she couldn't. Something just didn't feel right. This wasn't her house, was it?
Just as she felt a wave of drowsiness wash over her, she saw a woman walking towards her with a smile on her face. She could see the woman's mouth moving but couldn't hear a word, she just fell backwards onto the bed and watched the world fade to black.

The second time she opened her eyes, she felt a bit better. The drowsiness seemed to have worn off and this time she managed to stand up and walk around the room. The first thing she noticed was the pictures on the dresser. Pictures of a man and a woman with a little boy. The woman looked a bit familiar but she couldn't seem to understand why.
Just as she moved on to look at another picture, she heard a door bang and someone running up the stairs. She looked up with fear in her eyes as she saw the door of the warm, homely room open with a slight creak.
Hazel, that was the colour of the pair of eyes that materialised from behind the door. She watched as they widened at the sight of her, and soon the door swung open fully, showing the boy to whom the hazel-brown eyes belonged. "You're awake?" he asked looking at her with confusion in his eyes. She slowly nodded at him, not even smiling at the stupidity of his question, she was too busy trying to figure out who he was. "Um.... Wait right here, I'll fetch my mom, she'll know what to do," he said, giving her a wary look before he turned around and ran out the door.
Finding herself alone yet again, she turned back to the pictures she had been previously looking at. Now that she thought about it, the boy who had just been in the room looked a lot like the small boy in the pictures, an older version though. The one with the light yet fantastic hazel-brown eyes.
Before she could continue pondering the similarities between the two, the door swung open to show the hazel-eyed boy again, except this time there was an older woman with him, the same one from the pictures. The woman smiled at her and said, "Oh honey, I'm so glad that you're finally awake. You woke up once before but then passed out as soon as I came in to check on you. How do you feel now?"
She opened her mouth to reply to the woman but instead she was hit by another wave of drowsiness and she felt herself falling as she watched the world fade to black yet again.

This time, she woke up to the feeling of a hand brushing the hair off her face. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times, her eyes trying to adjust to the light in the room. She then noticed the woman staring down at her with a smile on her face. She immediately sat upright, moved to the far left of the bed and looked at the woman with a mixture of fear and curiosity on her face.
"You don't have to be afraid of me sweetheart. Don't you know who I am?"
"I-I'm sorry, I don't think I do," she replied to the woman.
"That's weird, especially since you had our names on a piece of paper in your pocket, along with our address," the woman said with a confused expression.
"I'm s-sorry b-but I don't know who you are...."
"Hmm maybe you've just forgotten about it now. I guess that's understandable though, given the state you were in when we found you!" The woman said thoughtfully while slightly nodding her head.
