Ever since the nightmare from the previous night, Noelle hadn't been able to concentrate on anything as her mind tried to decipher the meaning of the nightmare. She didn't even notice Julia calling her name while she ate her breakfast. Finally getting annoyed at Noelle's daydreaming, Andrew got up and snapped his fingers next to her face to get her attention. His plan worked as she looked up at him with startled eyes. "My mother's been trying to call you for quite some time now, so be grateful that she's letting you stay here and actually listen when she's talking, okay?"
Noelle hesitatingly nodded and turned her gaze to Julia. "I'm really sorry Julia, my mind was elsewhere."
"Oh that's no problem Noelle, you've been through a lot. Anyway, I was just saying that maybe we could take you to a doctor since you haven't gotten your memories back yet. Even though I'm a doctor myself, it would be good to get a second opinion," Julia said with a smile.
"Yeah that would be great...thanks Julia!" Noelle said softly, pushing a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.
"Well, finish your pancakes and then we'll head out okay?" Julia said, giving Noelle a gentle smile.

After reaching the hospital, they were met by a smiling, blonde haired man around the age of 40 who introduced himself to Noelle as Dr. Gordon, one of the doctors who worked alongside Julia in the hospital. She was then taken in for a few tests to check her state of health, but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.
"Well Noelle, you might have a mild case of amnesia but I'm sure your memories will be back soon. There's absolutely nothing wrong so I wouldn't worry if I were you," Dr. Gordon said, giving her a reassuring smile.
"When will they come back though? Will it take long?" Noelle asked worriedly.
"I'm not sure when, but it shouldn't take long at all. Give it two weeks tops and I'm sure it'll be back. But until it comes back, make sure you get some rest and try not to overwork yourself okay? It's possible that your mind is just trying to suppress the memories because they were too traumatic," Dr. Gordon said slowly.
"Thank you for all your help Travis. That's what I thought as well, but I decided that it would be best to get a second opinion since I felt a bit biased towards Noelle," Julia said, giving him a wide smile.
"Oh it's no trouble at all Julia. It's good that you decided to seek out a second opinion, one can never know if it's more serious than it seems."
Dr. Gordon then turned his attention to Noelle and handed her a card with all his information. "Well here's my card Noelle, I'm sure you'll be fine soon, but if you're not then you can always give me a call and you can come back and I'll try my best to help."
Noelle nodded thankfully, reaching for the card. As Noelle's fingers brushed the small rectangular card, she sees some kind of memory play out in her head in the span of just a few seconds.
There's a man in front of her, smiling softly as he hands her a piece of paper. "Find them when the time is right. They're our last hope if things go wrong and I fear they might. Whatever happens, find them. He's the only one who can help save us all and she's the only one who can convince him to do it."
She could feel herself nodding at the man before the memory faded as fast as it had appeared, leaving her blinking in confusion with the doctor's card in her hands. "Hey, are you okay Noelle?" Dr. Gordon asked, looking at her worriedly.
"What? Oh...Y-yeah I'm fine," Noelle said, slowly shaking her head as if to snap out of her daze.
"Are you sure, honey?" Julia asked, putting her hands on Noelle's shoulders and looking gently into her eyes.
"Y-yes Julia, sorry about that," Noelle said, avoiding Julia's eyes.
"Okay, well I guess it's time to leave then! Again, thank you so much for all your help, Travis. We really appreciate it." Julia smiled at the doctor one more time before making her way out of the hospital to her car with Noelle right behind her.
As soon as they reached the house, Noelle asked Julia if she could talk to her in private. With Julia leading the way, they both headed to Noelle's room, which was actually a guest room in the house, where Julia silently took a seat on the bed and looked up at Noelle questioningly.
"Well, Julia you see...I-I've been getting a few snippets of my memory back recently. Actually I'm not even sure if it is a memory but it feels sort of familiar, you know? But the problem is...I don't understand them. They just don't make any sense to me." Noelle looked at Julia with pleading eyes, hoping that Julia had an answer to her problem.
"Okay, what exactly have you remembered?" Julia asked carefully.
Noelle then proceeded to tell Julia about the two snippets she had remembered, one by dream and the other in the hospital. When she finished narrating the two incidents, Julia simply told her not to worry about it, especially since the first one just sounded like a scary nightmare. The second one, on the other hand, she told Noelle that she needed time to think about it and that they would talk later.

On the way to the kitchen, Julia ran into Andrew who wanted to know what Noelle had wanted to tell her. After a few seconds of just looking at her son, she told him everything Noelle had shared with her.
As soon as she finished, Andrew jumped out of his seat and started pacing up and down the room. "She must be a spy mom, otherwise why would someone give her a paper and tell her to find us? It sounds incredibly fishy."
"But the man told her we could help them Andrew, maybe they were friends with your father," Julia offered.
"Oh yeah, help them with our country's secrets I bet," Andrew scoffed.
"Andrew, don't immediately think negatively of the situation. It's possible that there's another reason entirely," Julia said calmly.
"Mom, do we really have to take such a risk? This war can bring out the worst in us, it's possible even for that girl. I just don't want you to unnecessarily endanger yourself like this. I-I can't lose you too..." Andrew slowly looked up at the ceiling, making sure that none of the unshed tears in his eyes actually ended up falling.
"Oh sweetheart, your father would've wanted us to take care of such a girl, especially in the midst of a war!" Julia smiled gently at Andrew, hoping to calm her son down.
"Don't bring his name into this mom, he's not with us because of this damn war. So there's no way I'm helping someone who could have some connection to the side responsible for his fate," Andrew said, raising his voice slightly.
"Andrew, I will not say this again so listen carefully. She's not a spy and she is going to stay here...at least until she remembers what happened to her," Julia said with finality in her tone.
"Fine, do it your way but don't come crying to me if I turn out to be right." Andrew gave Julia one last look before turning on his heel and walking to his room.
Soon, Julia sighed softly and quickly left the kitchen as well, none of them noticing that Noelle had heard every single word.
