a/n: so this is the last crossover short I have in my drafts, so either I need to write some more or I should just go ahead and retire Osiris and Karrueche. (if you remember mess & madness) that being said, enjoy what seems to be the last installment of Kosiris! 😜

Osiris
The great thing about being dead? Eating as much as you want and not getting fat. I barely had a taste for human food anymore but sometimes I had cravings that I had no problem indulging in. Gummy bears, mozzarella sticks, a bunch of pizza, and other fried foods I loved so much when I was alive. Ghost loved sharing with me as well so you know how that goes.

Tonight we rested on the couch, watching a movie. It was a dumbass old western movie but it was all that was on. Ghost had long gone to sleep and I was on my way, considering we had only gotten home from Europe hours ago. The time change had us all fucked up.

My phone rang and I slapped my palm around the couch cushion to find it. "Yo."

That signature giggle had be sitting up quickly. "Hi Iris. Are you busy?" If she wanted to FaceTime I would be all for it. Fuck sleep.

"Nah not right now, just got home. Why, what's up?"

She fell silent for a few seconds. "Good come get me from the airport, I'm in LA. Bye!" I stared at my phone like a big dumbass even after I knew she hung up and said what she did. She had to be fucking with me, right?

I grabbed my shoes and my phone anyway and Ghost perked up. "You wanna come with me, lil nigga?" I tapped my thigh and he jumped down onto the floor and scampered after me. I snapped his leash onto his collar and led him to the car, letting him get in first before I drove off altogether. He found a comfortable position on the passenger seat and sank down to finish up his nap. "Good boy, we'll be there in no time."

No time ended up being two hours, of course. The airport was so confusing, I got lost like twice. I thought the terminal I needed was one turn, but it was the other way. Shit was a big ass mess. I was about to call it a day and tell Kae to find another ride home - sike, nah I'm playing.

I found where I was looking for and pulled up to the curb, putting my car in park but not turning it off. I thought I spotted her coming out of the sliding doors and I couldn't help but smile. She was so tiny, it never got old. She bent over to get a sign from her suitcase and I nearly laughed out loud. A piece of cardboard with my name on it. She hadn't spotted me yet and turned her back to zip her bag up, and I swooped her into my arms and spun her to face me. "I could be wrong, but I think I'm supposed to hold the sign, ma."

The surprise disappeared from her face and she beamed down at me, running her fingertips across the scar on my cheekbone. A heat rose to my cheeks, and she kissed my nose. "I missed you." I set her down and grabbed her bags for her. As we got closer to the car, she saw Ghost propping his legs up on the door and she damn near squealed. "You brought Ghost!"

I dumped her luggage into the trunk and nodded with a chuckle. "Yeah, he told me he couldn't wait to meet you." After I helped her into the car, I got myself comfortable and drove off. She gushed over the puppy and scratched him all over as he licked over her face. "Tell me why the hell you chose a red eye flight."

She shrugged, Ghost settling in her lap comfortably. "Well you're a vampire so I figured you were already up anyway. Were you not?"

I increased my speed on the freeway. "I was tryna sleep honestly. Ghost and I just got back into the country a few hours ago."

She glanced at me apologetically, "Aw I'm sorry, I didn't know. How was your trip?"

I smiled. "It was aight. My nigga and I had to go handle some business in Europe for a few days. Got it all taken care of, so I'm off until next week."
