"I can't believe you're on the Quidditch team! First years are usually never allowed to play!" Sammy exclaims after I tell my friends the news.

"Yeah! The last time a First year was on a team was 100 years ago!" Liza joined in, snapping her book shut.

"I'm so jealous! You're so lucky" Sammy groaned, playfully slapping my arm.

"I heard Harry Potter made the Gryffindor Team, too" Melia added in an extra bubbly voice. She's brought up Harry in almost every conversation we have. The rest of us swear she's obsessed.

Luna was circling the smooth, teal leather couch in the centre of the room with her Spectrespecs on, staring at people's heads. I turned to her, currently studying Pamela Alton's head for the imaginary creatures.

"What do you think, Luna? Do you think I should do it?" I ask her

"Well, you already told Professor Flitwick you would do it so I don't think you have a choice anymore. And I think you'll do just fine, you were amazing in class." She smiled at me before moving on to Daisy Corran. I wondered how these people didn't notice Luna staring at the backs of their heads, or why their friends didn't tell them about it. They probably already know Luna is just kind of that way. I chuckle fondly at my friend's antics. She's right, I don't have much of a choice anymore.

Finally, it was the weekend. I was so excited to hang out with Draco. I haven't seen him as often as before, he doesn't spend a lot of time in the Great Hall and he's usually off with his Slytherin friends during Free. We only see each other when we partner up in Charms, and there's no talking in class. I can't wait to tell him I made the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, even though he's probably already heard. News around here spreads like wildfire. Actually, I'm pretty sure that happens everywhere.

Saturday morning, I jumped out of bed, despite it still being quite early, and skipped down to breakfast. My eyes automatically found Draco's captivating grey orbs and I made my way over to him.

"Hey, we still on for today?" I whisper, sneaking up behind him as he pokes at his eggs.

"Oh! Yeah, I have something planned. Meet me in front of the portrait of Brian Gagwilde III at 10:00." Draco whispered back, still playing with his food.

"The one near the Entrance Hall? Ok, I'll be there. And you really should eat your food, Draco." I chuckle and walk to my seat in the middle of Luna and Melia.

"What's up with you?" Sammy asks eyeing me in-between bites.

"Nothing." I shrug

"Really? So there's no particular blonde-haired, grey-eyed boy who's making you grin that hard. Look! You shovelled your food so fast I thought you were going to choke, your leg won't stop bouncing, and you look like you were just given a whole compartment full of Chocolate Frogs and Licorice Wands." Sammy accuses, setting down her fork and taking a sip of her Pumpkin Juice with a victorious smirk on her face.

"Okay, so I may be meeting him after breakfast. BUT it is NOT a date. He's one of my best friends and I haven't seen him in a while. We're just hanging out. Besides, we're only eleven." I tell her, getting my point across. Knowing Sammy, she'll quickly assume this was a date. Draco may be devilishly handsome, but I've known him forever. He's like my brother, I don't really see myself dating him...I think.

I hurriedly changed into a navy blue sweater and white jeans with my converse, then grabbed my wand and made my way to the said meeting place. I don't know what he had planned, but I decided to take my chances with the white jeans.
