IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
So, I know I haven't updated in forever, and I'm sorry. I just never really got around to it, and it's honestly not the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last. You're just gonna have to deal, sorry not sorry. At any rate, it gave me some time to kind of figure out where exactly I want to go with the story, as well as come up with plot for new stories (they'll be coming much, much later, but they'll be there so make sure to check them out on my profile when the time comes). I also think I want to re-write this book, or what I have so far, and revise, make it better, extract the bits that aren't really necessary, and just over-all make it better. It's kind of a mess right now, with all the typos and grammar issues and whatnot, so thank you for reading. Anyway, I'm so so so sorry I couldn't provide you with more chapters, what with all the time that I took off, but I hope this one will satisfy your needs until the next. Once more, thank you all so much for reading and enjoy:)

I awoke with a start, a blush slowly crawling it's way onto my face when I realized I'd been dreaming about Draco. We were on a date at a cabin, not unlike the one he'd brought me to weeks ago. I'd gotten closer to him since then, even more so than before. I would wake up early to meet Draco in the library, where we'd talk and read, just enjoying each other's presence, until breakfast. Then, in between classes, we would walk and talk, and during Free Periods, the usual -sitting under a tree at the lake's edge, doing homework and basking in the sun's warmth. Although, we'd moved to our usual spot in the library for this once it started getting cooler outside. Somedays, I even sat at the Slytherin table during meals and, very rarely but happening nonetheless, vice versa. My Ravenclaw friends seemed to notice too, as they constantly pester me about fancying him when we're sitting in our dorm before bed. It's always the same:
"Soooo. You and Malfoy, huh?"
"No."
"You guys seemed awfully close today..."
"It was the same as always."
"Did you see the way he looks at you?"
"I DO NOT LIKE DRACO, AND HE DOES NOT LIKE ME. MERLIN."
And, so on.
The Golden Trio and I had also become closer, as I happened to have a couple of classes with them, and I was beginning to take a liking to Hermione, however annoying she may be.
It was now nearing Winter, and the weather was turning colder. Clouds loomed overhead and winds threatened to seep in through the doors and windows that were left open. At night especially, I could feel it even through my Sapphire and Silver lined, velvet comforter. And while I didn't particularly dislike the chilly weather we were experiencing, it made it difficult to play my best in Quidditch. We had practice twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays and I felt like I'd been getting a lot better with each practice. My first game was approaching as well and I was so excited, I would be bouncing off the walls if not for my several layers of clothing -a feeble attempt to keep the frigid October air at bay.
With a sigh, I got up from the soft embrace of my bed and went to get changed and wash my face, hopefully removing the pink tinge in my cheeks. I scraped my hair into a ponytail, figuring I would brush it later, and made my way down the steps of the tower, headed for the library to meet a certain blonde.
"Are you --blushing?" Draco asked incredulously as I sat down with a stack of books.
"Huh?" I felt my face, surprised at how warm it still felt and all of my previous attempts to wash it off, in vain. "Oh. It's nothing..just flushed from running all the way down from the Tower, is all."
He sent me a sceptical look before unclenching his jaw and went back to his book.

The time spent in the library with Draco today was short-lived as a girl came running up to me.
"Are you Olivia Rosier?" the Gryffindor girl ask, completely ignoring Draco's glares at the house seal on the front of her robes.
"Yes.."
"Professor Dumbledore would like to see you." Was all she said before speeding off -probably eager to put some distance between her and the boy next to me. I kicked him, a silent scolding for his behaviour, before bidding him a quick farewell and walking out.
"Professor, you wanted to see me?" I asked, walking in when the door opened up for me upon arrival.
"Ah yes, please, sit down. Toffee?"
"Oh, thank you, but I think I'll pass.." I replied, looking into the bowl of moving brown lumps warily. "So, what is it?"
"We have a new student attending Hogwarts. He is from Durmstrang and I would like you to welcome him when he comes. His departure was a few days ago, so he should be here soon. By tomorrow, I expect. I will call for you to meet me here, then."
"Ok...why me?"
He looked at me and chuckled like it was the most obvious thing in the world "Because you are the top of your entire year, and I wouldn't doubt you to be a positive role model for a second. I believe you would be the best student to represent our school while making a new friend along the way."
"Oh" was all I could say before managing a smile and a small wave, the heavy oak doors closing behind me.

"Oooh, mysterious.." Sammy said, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Yeah, and you're so telling us everything later. We want all the details!" Melia exclaimed, giddy for some new gossip. I think they're getting tired of Draco.
"You should probably check his things for Nargles..we wouldn't want an infestation in the school again. I just got rid of the last of them." Luna warned, handing me a pair of earrings with something that closely resembled a turnip hanging from them.
"And let us know if he's cute. I mean, he probably is, if he's from Durmstrang.." Liza piped up, smirking and adding a wink to emphasize her point.
Yeah, they're tired of Draco. Thank Merlin.
I chuckled, leaning back against the side of the couch and stretching my legs. I've yet to tell Draco, but I figured I may as well do it whenever I saw him next, If I didn't see him, oh well, he'll find out soon enough. After all, I was completely content on my current position, sitting in the Great Hall with a plate full of food.
After breakfast, I headed to class, carefully avoiding Draco. I knew he would ask about the meeting, but I didn't feel like talking about it. It wasn't bad or anything, I was just surprised and the information just kind of sat there. I didn't do anything with it and I didn't know what to do with it. I just knew it was gonna happen whether I liked it or not. Frankly, I don't really know how I feel about the whole ordeal. It's a newly added weight to my shoulders, along with the stress that comes with maintaining my top grades and the still oncoming Quidditch match. I guess I should be excited to make a new friend. Yeah, that does sound nice.
"Alright guys, I'm off to bed. See you in the morning." I got up and trudged upstairs to the familiar comfort of our dorm, falling asleep with the New Guy still on my mind.
Maybe this will turn out okay; things always have a way of coming together in the end, after all.
