I wake up to shuffling around the room and I sit up to find my roommates bustling about, trying to find all their things to get ready for the day.

"Oh, good morning!" I turn my head towards Luna's voice and find her sitting upside-down on a plush chair with her feet dangling over the back, reading The Quibbler. I chuckle at the sight and smile at her before sliding out of bed and grabbing my clothes and walking to the bathroom. Showering really quickly, I step out and pull on my uniform. I admire the outfit in the mirror, taking time to look over the white, collared shirt and Ravenclaw tie, the charcoal grey cardigan with streaks of blue and silver, then the sleek black skirt, pulled over top of the sweater, and to top it all off, the perfectly fitted Ravenclaw robes that reach down to my ankles, billowing behind me when I walk. After brushing my hair into a ponytail and brushing my teeth, I make my way down to the Great Hall, hoping to see and talk to Draco at breakfast.

"Liv!" I spin around at the mention of my name and walk over to Draco who is sitting with Crabbe, Goyle, and -much to my dismay- Pansy.

"Good morning, Draco" I smile and take the seat beside him, earning stares from everyone else at the Slytherin table. Draco grins and side-hugs me in response.

"What classes do you have today?" Draco asks, turning to face me and cutting off Pansy in the middle of explaining how 'silky her hair was today'.

I hand him my timetable and he looks it over:

History Of Magic (HOM) w/ Hufflepuff .... 9:20 - 10:30

Potions w/ Hufflepuff .... 10:35 - 11:30

Charms w/ Slytherin .... 11:40 - 1:00

Lunch .... 1:10 - 2:00

Herbology w/ Hufflepuff .... 2:20 - 3:00

Defense Against The Dark Arts (DADA) with Gryffindor .... 3:10 - 4:10

Transfiguration w/ Gryffindor .... 4:20 - 5:20

Free Period every Tuesday and Friday .... 5:20 - 6:00

Dinner .... 6:15 - 7:45

Flying - just Ravenclaw .... 9:20 - 10:30 in place of History Of Magic on Wednesdays

"Aww we only have one class together" Draco sighs, handing it back to me and I fold it, placing it in a pocket on the inside of my robes along with my wand.

"Yeah, but we can hang out during Free Period, and meals, and on weekends." I suggest, getting up to meet with Luna at the Ravenclaw table. He nods and I skip off to my own house table.

"Hey, guys, what's up?" I ask as I plop down next to Luna, across from our roommates.

"Nothing much" Melia shrugs, scooping eggs into her mouth.

"I was just about to go looking for Nargles" Luna slips on a bottle-cap necklace and ducks under the table.

"That girl is crazy" Sammy laughs and we all agree.

"Yeah, but she's always so nice to everyone. It's hard to believe she doesn't have many friends" Liza whispers the last part and checks under the table to make sure Luna didn't hear. She was too busy analyzing the details in the wood to listen in on our conversation.

"Well, now she has us" I smile and take a sip of my pumpkin juice.

After practically falling asleep in HOM, Luna, Liza, Melia, Sammy and I make our way to the dungeons for Potions.

"I can't believe Slytherin dorms are down here. It's so dark and cold" Sammy complains, running her fingers along the white cobblestone walls lining the dungeon tunnels, dimly lit by a few torches here and there. She was right: the dungeons were very dark and very cold. Like a constant breeze was down here, as all the heat in the castle rose to the top and abandoned the lowest levels of the school, leaving all that was down there to freeze. And even with the scattered torches providing little heat and even less light, it was dark and damp, the whole place had an eerie feel and look to it. I much preferred our cosy tower.

We walked into Professor Snape's classroom and took a seat, Liza and Melia sharing a cauldron, Luna and I shared, and Sammy paired with a kid named Jack from Hufflepuff. We were told to make a simple potion to cure gashes and open wounds out of Bat Spleen, Dandelion root, Fire Seed, Lionfish Spine, and Moonstone Dust.

"I'll go collect the ingredients, can you prep the cauldron: fill it with water half-way and set it to 250 degrees Celsius." I explain to Luna, flipping her book to page 37 and heading towards the ingredient closet.

"We're finished, sir" I say, handing a phial of our potion to Professor Snape.

"Let's see if it works" he replies monotonously and takes a knife from his desk drawer. He slits his palm and suddenly I'm really nervous.

He slowly pours the glowing liquid onto his hand and the whole class watches as his skin magically seals itself back together. I let out a breath of relief and a grin etches its way onto my face.

"Well done, Miss Rosier. If you could get me two more phials of this in case other's don't work quite as well.." He waves me off, but I can see the corners of his mouth twitching upwards, creating the image as if he was smiling.

Luna and I high-five each other as we meet up with our roommates and head to Charms.

Everyone filed in and I took a seat next to Draco. "Alright everyone, we will be learning a simple Softening Charm. You just make a small 'S' in the air with your wand. Like this."

The class imitated the Professor's hand gestures.

"Now the incantation: Spongify. Now go ahead, grab a rock for you and your partner and practice the spell" Professor Flitwick waved us off and I got up to get a rock, but Draco grabbed my wrist and got up himself. After coming back with two rocks, he sat down and started reciting the spell.

"Spoongify" He poked at the rock, no evidence the spell had worked.

"No, you're saying it wrong" I chuckle and he huffs.

"Well you do it, then" He challenges, crossing his arms

"Spongify" I match Professor Flitwick's wand movements and watching as the round stone emitted a soft glow before returned back to normal. Concentrating on the rock and not Draco's astounded face, I poke it and it caves under my touch, bouncing back into shape when I retract my finger.

"See?" I grin at him toothily and he continues to gape at me, jaw on the floor.

"Fantastic job, Miss Rosier. Ten points to Ravenclaw!" Professor Flitwick sends a thumbs up my way and I smile, proud of how well I seem to be doing on my first day. After class, I pack up my things and start heading out, but Draco catches me and pulls me into an empty corridor.

"Hey, I miss you and since we both have a Free Period before dinner, wanna meet me at the Astronomy Tower?" He questions, hands in his robe pockets.

"Okay, but I'll be doing homework while I'm up there. It shouldn't take too long though" I smile and turn on my heel and skip away, but not before hearing Draco mutter

"Those Ravenclaws and their homework".
