Graceys POV

"Wheres my leg!" I started to scream, and beg. I tried to get up, but I couldn't it wasn't the same. How could I live without my left leg. I couldn't walk, run, or drive. Could you have any relationship with someone who doesn't have a leg. I cried, and Ocean cried with me.

The doctor's said when the car rolled it must of bent my leg up so bad. It was horrible my leg had shattered, a rare case in car accidents. There was no way my body was going to heal after that. They had to... to cut it off.

"What happened that night anyway" Ocean asked

"I was driving Jamie home, cause he was all drunk " I laughed, I was remembering how he had kissed me, I touched my cheek.

"What?!" I saw fury in her eyes "Sadie." She got up and ran out of the room.

Oceans POV

Being irrational is not what I did next. I went up, to Jamie who was checking out of the hospital. "Ocean, are you coming?" He smiled

I slapped the smile off his face. "That's for Grace," I punched him in his gut, "and thats for Sadie!" I screamed

"That was a long time ago!" I couldn't belive him, all he did was ruin my friends lives.

May 4th 2005...

It was warm that spring... me and Sadie Longkinks were playing in the pond by our house. We were 4 or 5, but it was fun, splashing and skipping rocks. "Howdy!" A stranger man, came to the edge of the pond. He was tall, with dark red hair, and full glasses, "What's your names?"

"I'm Sadie!" He looked over at me, "I'm O- Jasmine"

He smiled, he didn't have a lot of teeth. "I um, lost my dog, can you help me?" My mother started calling me for lunch.

"She can't but I can!" Sadie swam out of the pool.

"Sadie I don't think you should go alone" I warned her, Jamie came walking down the hill with his hands in his pockets. "Jamie can you go with Sadie and this man to find his dog?"

"Whatever" he grumbled, and followed them into the woods and I went to the house to eat lunch.

5 year old Jamie's POV

Me and Sadie went with the man, into the woods. I liked Sadie, she was very pretty, We talked a little, when we got to the edge of the property, I suggested that we better go home.

The man said I could, but Sadie would have to stay. I grabbed Sadies hand, and tried to pull her away, but the man, just shoved me and pull a gun from his coat. I ran, and ran. When I looked back, it was too late he had her on the ground. I could hear Sadies screaming. I wanted to help her but I couldn't I was too small. I ran as fast as I could back to the house, and my dad came back out with a gun.

When I showed them where I left Sadie he was gone but she wasn't. There she laid, with one bullet through her head, and her dress off beside her, blood was everywhere. Her dad covered her porcini body with a blanket.

He held Sadie to him, and cried "My baby girl, my poor baby..." After that Ocean blamed me, but I think she blamed herself, for not telling Sadie to go to the house, so she started blaming me next.

Present

I looked at Jamie with disgust, it was his fault, all of it! It was his fault that Grace doesn't have 2 legs, it his fault that Sadie a 5 year old girl, was raped and murdered. All of it, I rushed out the hospital and drove home leaving Jamie to get a cab.

I got on the road, I couldn't see through my tears, so I pulled over. "Oh Sadie... Gracey I'm sorry" I balled my eyes out, I did that until I was enraged.
