Valencia Carter
"Happy birthday!" Sebastian and Elias shouted at the top of their lungs, falling all over me.
"Sebastian, get your heavy ass off of me. I'm trying to sleep." I threw the covers over my head.
"Get your ass up." He yanked the covers off of me sent a hard smack to my butt.
"Gross." Elias looked at him in disgust.
"How you think you got here?" He pinched my thigh. "I said get up."
"For what?" I poked one eye open to look at him.
"It's your birthday." He said with a stupid grin on his face. "Bash, go get dressed."
"Where we going?"
"You're going to your grandparents."
"But grandpa always threatening me with a belt. I don't want to go." He crossed his arms pouting.
"That works with your mama, not me. Go get dressed." He pointed towards the door.
He sucked his teeth and gave me a kiss on the cheek before leaving, but not before he mugged Sebastian on his way out.
"Why aren't you happy? It's your birthday."
"Yeah, just another year. I rather stay home, eat junk food and watch movies with my baby."
"You do that every night." He sat on the edge of my bed. "What's the real reason?"
"I haven't really done much with my life. Today is nothing special." I shrugged.
"You lived to see another year, that's special. Twenty-seven, you're getting old as hell." He joked making me smack my lips.
"Shut up, nigga you're thirty."
"You still think I'm sexy." He smirked with a smug look on his face.
"You're okay." I chuckled, looking up at him staring at me. "What?"
"Huh? Nothing, I just...really missed you." He told me, which brought a smile to my face.
"I kinda missed you too."
It got silent and I looked around the room before my eyes landed back on Sebastian. He started to lean in and surprisingly, I did too.
"Mommy." Elias' voice came from the door making us jump back from each other.
I cleared my throat as I quickly got up from the bed, "Yes?"
"I can't find my shoes."
"They're by the door." I told him and he walked away.
"Um, you get dressed too. I have a surprise for you." Sebastian told me, leaving the room.

"You make me fall, I'm going to punch your ass." I threatened Sebastian as he helped me out of the car.
I was currently blindfolded and I didn't know where were going. Sebastian assured it was worth it, but I'm not the patient type.
"You're not going to fall. Shut up, you've been complaining all day."
"Because you won't tell me what the surprise is." I whined.
He huffed, taking off my blindfold.
"You brought me here to show me a empty salon? Always wasting my damn ti-"
