"Wait what?!" I stared at him and all the puzzle pieces stared to come together in my mind. The shades. The dog. I noticed he didn't look at me straight. Duh dumbass he can't see you. His dog stood defensively in front of him and I took a step back.
"I'm sorry." I apologised hoping the ground would open right now and swallow me up.
"Whatever," he probably rolled his eyes I guessed.
"I'm Hazel," I smiled before reminding myself of what an idiot I am.
"Yeah I'm Julian and I need to go home now." He replied nonchalantly and followed his dog back. I watched him go and I looked up to see his mom watching him carefully through the window. I couldn't imagine how tough it was for him and his mom. Her eyes switched to me and she looked at with slightly narrowed eyes. I quickly hurried away.
That night I lay in my bed my thoughts stuck on him. It was a way to distract myself from the fact my that I was home alone and terrified. He had an attractive face, with a defined bone structure and his hair was slightly shorter on the sides and long and straight in the middle. I had a good look at him today. All I could think about is that I couldn't imagine living without sight. He was just a young boy. He had a whole life ahead of him and he would have to spend it like this. Can't you can get an eye transplant or something? Everything has a consequence. Some consequences are good and some are bad and I was soon to find out what sort of consequence meeting Julian would have on my life.
