After my embarrassing rant, I sat down quietly next to him. There was an awkward silence of about 7 minutes before he turned around to face me. He stretched his hand out towards mine in my lap and intertwined our fingers. At this point I was hundred percent sure he could hear my heart beating so fast. My stomach was twisting in all ways and I was smiling so hard. I was almost glad he couldn't see my state. We said nothing to each other. Just sat there and watched as the light of day faded.
As always I lay in my bed my thoughts swarming. I know it was only a small thing. He JUST held my hand but I couldn't help getting a funny feeling in my stomach every time I thought about it. It was probably the best I ever felt in months.

I sat next him. A little closer than I would've a month ago. I saw my reflection in his glasses. I looked beautifully ridiculous with my hair everywhere and untidy.
"Julian." I said almost in a whisper.
"Yeah." he replied back softly.
"Can I kiss you?" I blurted it out and I couldn't believe those words had left my mouth. Oh my god he's going to say no. This will ruin our friendship. What was I thinking? I am the stupid per-
"Please." He smiled.
I wasted no time and leaned in and felt his soft lips on mine and our foreheads touch. There were tingles everywhere on my body. I traced the shape of his cheekbones with my fingers.
When we pulled apart we both had the most ridiculous smiles.
