5:  The Evil Murderous Brother Makes His Appearance (Feel Free to Boo)

One week ago, 8:46

Olivia had her silly Councillor meetings.  So Felix had his Councillor meetings to.

Not that there were Councillors at Echo Valley.  Felix had ultimate authority, and he didn't like giving anyone else a share.

Well, not complete authority.  The leader of the Death Wolves, whom Felix had prudently named Bob, was the nearest thing there was to a deputy.

That made them more of a conference meeting then, opposed to a Councillor meeting, as there were only two people/wolves.

"You definite on plans, Master?"  Like all animals, Bob wasn't the best at grammar.

Felix liked it when he was called Master.

"Yes."  He answered.  "Yes, I'm sure.  Olivia has more Elementists than us, and if we attack at Willow Forest, they will have the advantage of knowing the territory.  So, we disarm her as much as possible.  Take the people closest to her.  The other people who were there that day.  The Councillors."

Bob licked his lips.  "Who we start with?"

"When in order, Earth comes first.  That means two in one.  Rock and Pebble."

"When we start?"

"I can start heading out there now.  If I travel with two Death Wolves, it'll take about a week.  We'll have to stick to the undergrowth only, and move at night."

"Who take?"

"What's there names?  The ones who found Sasha and that lion and brought them here.  They know the route well."

Bob spoke their real names, their wolf names.  Each Death Wolf's name consisted of a series of barks, growl and other noises which no human could make.  To simplify things, Felix had given them all human names.  For his amusement, names like Dave, Sid, Pat and Gertrude.  Gertrude.  Definitely his favourite.

"In English?"

Bob growled.  None of the wolves were fans of their new names.  "George and Molly.  When at base, Tent eighteen."

"Perfect.  Go and tell them now.  We will leave almost instantly."

4:46 AM  (Back to the present)

Molly sniffed the ground again.  "We close now.  Very close.  Few more hours and we there."

"Where's George?"  Felix demanded.

The male wolf's black fur appeared.  "Here.  Saw bird.  Two get prey opportunity to not take."

He produced a pigeon and laid it before him and his mate.  Within moments it was nothing but a few bones.

"No more distractions."  Felix snapped.  "You told me we'd be there before dawn.  It doesn't look like it now.  I better be standing in a good spot near the old quarry at Willow Forest in four hours or you're goners."

He sighed when he saw George and Molly's puzzled expressions.  "Or in Wolf, we get there soon or you be big piles of ash."

Molly yelped.

Their pace quickened after that.
