10: Back to the Beloved Helicopter! (Yes, Wait For It, Hey That Rhymes!)

The HC253 (Hey that rhymes!) was exactly where they'd left it. Jamie and Kayla entered it, excitedly relating to each other the course of events of the last hour or so. They admired the interior of the copter, as Ethan smirked. He vanished to the control room, leaving Sasha to explain the whole Elementist thing to the Streams. She basically repeated the conversation that she had had with Ash all those weeks ago, just missing out the interruptions from Ash's spirited twin, Eve.
Sasha had only got to the bit when the Association of Elementists (or A of E for short) was formed when Ethan burst in.
"Got a text from Liv." He said.
"Wait," Jamie looked worried, "Ethan, you're the one flying this thing?"
"Yep." He said, like it was no big deal. He turned to Sasha. "It's Rock and Pebble. They're missing."
Sasha cursed her brother. No. Not them. Not the Miners.
Rock with her silver-brown hair and constant like for all things Doctor Who, Role Play and non-Death Wolf wolves. One of her closest friends at the A of E, who had sat on her table the first meal she’d had at Willow Forest.
Pebble. Pebble, who was always sweet and naïve, unless she was trying to grab an iPad off you (long story). She and her sister were inseparable.
And now her beeping pile of beep and beep of a brother had taken them.
She finished the talk with Jamie and Kayla quickly, not enjoying it as she had before. Ethan switched the screens on for the virtual tour of Willow Forest, and Sasha commented in a dull monotone. After the screens whirred off, she said nothing until they arrived back at Willow Forest.

The emergency Councillor meeting that Olivia called was to be at half past two, leaving Sasha with a snippet of time for herself. Needing some form of comfort, she headed for the House of Technology, where there was usually somebody (hopefully Ash or Eve) looking for volunteers to try out whatever electronic device they’d just made.
Tech was the craziest building ever from a sci-fi fantasy. The basic cabin was the same as all the other Houses (this time in bronze-coloured stone), but so many towers and extensions had been added it was probably almost as large as the House of All. Smoke was snaking out of several of the chimneys, showing that several people were in.
All of the kids looked pretty shaken up at Rock and Pebble's disappearance. Most had resorted to continuing work on whatever crazy gadget they had designed next. Ash and Eve were rootling through one of the cupboards, finding the right components for something.
"Hi." Sasha mumbled.
Ash jumped, knocking over her twin, who fell flat on her bum as the wires in her arms spilled out over the floor.
"Dang it." Eve cursed. She kicked the wires into a pile and turned to face Sasha. Her sister did the same.
Ash and Eve were completely identical, and purposefully always wore the same clothes to confuse people. Thankfully, Ash always had a blue hair bobble and Eve a green, otherwise it would be almost impossible to tell them apart.
“Have you heard about-” Eve began.
“Obviously.” Sasha sighed.
"You need cheering up?" Ash was usually slightly more serious than Eve. Emphasis on the slightly.
Sasha nodded.
"Ooooh!" Eve exclaimed. "Can we show her the TARDIS?"
"The whaty?"
"Time And Relative Dimension In Space." Eve answered. "Come on, have you never watched Doctor Who before?"
"I know perfectly well what a TARDIS is." Sasha snapped. "Just not your version."
