Sorry that I've been gone a long time. I was sick, so, you know... rest and recovery. But I'm back now.

After sitting down for a "girl talk" with Mal to comfort her, Evie, Jay, and Carlos (and Dude) walk off to prepare for the Royal Cotillion, leaving Mal to make her choice on whether or not she wants to come.

Evie looks at Jay and asks, "What did you say to her?"

"That if Cotillion goes terrible, I'll drive her back to the Isle, if she wants to go back, that is," said Jay.

"Well, that was sweet of you," said Evie.

"And that's saying something," commented Carlos.

Evie elbows Carlos in the arm as a way of saying that what he said was rude.

"What?!" Carlos reacted. "You and I both know Jay isn't into the whole touchy-feely stuff."

"For once, I agree," said Jay. "I was just trying to be a good friend."

"Well, you more than succeeded," said Evie with a smile.

"If you'll excuse me, I gotta go see Lonnie," said Jay.

"See Lonnie about what, exactly?" asked Evie, raising an eyebrow in suspicion.

"You'll see," said Jay.

As Jay walks away, Evie and Carlos exchange looks.

"Wanna bet that he's gonna ask Lonnie out to Cotillion?" asked Evie.

"No need. I was thinking the same thing," said Carlos.

"I wasn't," said Dude.

"Well, obviously, you have much to learn," said Evie, petting the dog. "Yes, you do. Yes, you do."

Dude looks at Carlos and says, "Make her stop, please."

"Don't you love a good petting?" replied Carlos.

"I don't like when people go all coochie-coo on me," said Dude.

"Who's a clueless little puppy? Yes, you are. Yes, you are," Evie continued, playfully scratching Dude's chin.

"Is this payback for stowing away?" Dude asked his owner.

"More or less," said Carlos.

"Okay, I think he's had enough," said Evie, ceasing the teasing.

"Thank you," said Dude.

Evie's eyes wandered away from the dog and laid on the white-haired boy holding said dog. His eyes caught her stare. He smiled awkwardly and tried to avoid eye contact, but found himself looking back at her twinkling eyes.

"So," he said.

"So," she said.

The two chuckled awkwardly together.

"The ride was, um, weird," said Carlos.

"That's all you can come up with? Weird?" questioned Evie.

"Weird. Strange. Awkward. Embarrassing. What else can I say?" said Carlos.

"Did you really mean all that, what you said?" asked Evie.

"Every single word," smiled Carlos. "What about you? Did you..."

"Mean every word, yes," said Evie, smiling very widely.

"Do you ever miss it?" asked Carlos. "Just the two of us. I mean, I know we have a wonderful life here in Auradon, but as I said those words, I felt like I was missing all those times, just you and me."
