Meeting

Chapter 7

~Kris' POV

After all the trainees' performances, we all went home. YG trainees were pretty impressive. They were like professionals. "So, what can you say?"

"Cool!"

"I was really amazed!" Xiumin said.

"Who caught your attention?" manager hyung asked.

"I can't choose. All of them were pretty good." Kyungsoo answered.

"But that...foreigner girl.." Suho trailed off.

"You mean the first performer?" Lay asked.

"Yeah..."

"What about her?"

"She...seems intriguing." Suho murmured.

"She was really good at dancing earlier and to think that the crowds went wild while she was performing...She must be someone who is hardworking." Kai said like he was observing the girl.

"I asked a trainee and he said they call her Kaye." Tao spoke as if he was giving a trivia. "She's from the Philippines."

"So it seems that all of you were caught by that girl, Kaye."

I went shopping with Lay when we got separated because we were chased by sasaengs. I happened to go to an alley and saw a girl sitting on a pavement with her hoodie on. I was planning to be on my way when she suddenly stood up and danced.

Her movements were slow and expressive. She was probably missing someone based from her dance moves.

Rain started to pour. Luckily, I was able to bring an umbrella with me. I looked at the girl and the rain didn't made her stop from dancing her heart out.

Her hood fell back, revealing her long, flowing hair. When I caught a glimpse of her face, I was shocked to see that it was her. the performer, Kaye. Her eyes were closed and tears ran down her face. Why is she crying?

I was even surprised when she knelt down and her head hung low. Then, she slammed her hands on the floor and started pounding her fists. She let out a frustrated scream when she looked up.

She trembled and her body collapsed on the floor. "I'm sorry..." she muttered. "I'm really sorry."

~Jaejoong's POV

I was running past people, heading my way to one of the rooms in the building and muttering 'sorry' when I bumped into someone.

"Sorry, I'm late!" I barged in and was surprised to see other artists from another company, the YG Family. Even Yang Hyun Suk, himself, was there beside Lee Soo Man.

I took my seat and saw BIGBANG's Daesung, 2NE1's Bom, Super Junior's Yesung and Girls' Generation's Jessica.

"First of all, we know that you're wondering why we called you here." Mr. Lee said. "Actually, this is a very special meeting." he added.

"You are all called here because you'll be part of a special project." Mr. Yang said. "And the two of us decided to do it together. You could say that it's a collaboration of two big companies."

"So, what's this project?" I asked.

"It involves with the trainees." Mr. Yang answered.

"Trainees?" we asked in unison. The two CEO nodded. "Yes. And you guys will help them."

"Us? How?" Yesung asked.

"That is what we're going to discuss today." Mr. Lee said.

"You see, there are five trainees, three from YG and two from SM. The five of them are possible to become solo artists but we want them to experience what is it like to be in a band. So we've decided to put them in a group."

"What does it have to do with us, then?" Jessica asked.

"Actually, they won't be in one group. Instead, they'll be in a sub-group with you and another artist. And you will act as the leader."

"What?!" we asked in surprise.

"The SM artists are in-charge of the YG trainees while SM trainees are under the care of YG artists. In this case, you'll see the difference of what it is like to be a trainee of another company. Also, you'll be living with them for a little while. You'll help them for their preparation as future artists."

"Daesung is paired with WINNER's Taehyun, Bom with Lee Hi." Mr. Yang stated. "Yesung's partner is SHINee's Onew. Jessica with f(x)'s Victoria and Jaejoong with EXO's Kris." Mr. Lee added. "You'll meet your assigned trainee tomorrow."

"But I thought--" I stopped when I realized something. "So that means we're going to KINTEX because of that?!"

"Yes." Mr. Yang answered shortly. "You'll be meeting your assigned trainee and will be witnessing their individual performances there. We'll also announce this matter."

"Do the others know about this?" I asked again.

"No. That's why you need to talk to them after this so they won't be surprised by tomorrow." Mr. Lee stated. "Any questions?"

I raised my hand. "What will happen then?"

"You'll still be promoting with your groups but you have to take your trainee with you or at least make them watch so they'll have an idea how to work on stage." This sounds like babysitting -.- "You also need to examine their practices and trainings because there'll still be monthly evaluations. Make sure, they're not sick and take care of them." Okay, now I feel like a young father -_- The last time I checked, I'm still a TVXQ member.

"That's it. You're dismissed."

~KRIS' POV

"Kris-hyung?"

"Yes?"

"Jaejoong-sunbaenim is looking for you. He said he needs to talk to you about something important." Minseok-hyung said to me. I immediately went out of the practice room and found Jaejoong-hyung standing beside a door.

"Hyung?"

"We need to talk."

"What is it, hyung?"

"You're my pair and we'll be monitoring a trainee from YG." I was confused. I didn't know what he was talking about. "What?"

"Listen, it's too difficult to explain right now but we'll be meeting the trainee tomorrow. Also, you need to pack some clothes because we'll be living in one roof with that trainee for a little while. Do you get it?" I absent-mindedly nodded at him. "Good." He patted my shoulder and left.

So we'll be monitoring a trainee? And who's this trainee? Why did I even got into that in the first place?
