Letter 3

Dear Will,

Well today in history is the day of my first surgery. I know how scared you have been lately, but I just want you to know that you have nothing to worry about. All you need to remember is that I'll always love you, even if death pulls us apart. I believe in an afterlife, there will be a day we will meet again. It's too early to talk about death, nothing could be wrong. I know better than that, I was never lucky, not ever. The only thing that I ever got was you and I wouldn't consider that luck. It sounds more like fate to me. So one day if you no longer see me, just remember, I will always be able to see you and I'll be waiting on the other side.

~Love Trinity

Trinity's POV

"Mom? Where are you? Are you ready to leave for the hospital?" My mom managed to schedule my surgery a lot sooner than I thought. I get to miss the first Monday of the school year, but who's complaining, I absolutely hate Mondays.

"I'm right here sweetie. Are you all set?"

I sighed, "I'm as ready as I'll ever be, so we better get this show on the road."

I went to walk towards the door, but my mom took a hold of my hands and made me look up at her. "Trinity Nicole Lynn, you listen to me right now," she said. "You can't go into a surgery thinking bad things or bad things are bound to happen. You have people who love you and support you. Can't you see that? Why are you acting like this? I know you're more than just scared, but you have nothing to worry about. You'll be fine."

I couldn't hold back my tears. My mother knew me so well, maybe even better than Will. I was looking at her the whole time when she was talking, but now I can't even make eye contact with her, because everything she said is true. "Maybe I'm not over thinking things momma. It could be worse than what we think it is, it could be cancerous. If it is cancerous, my life is pretty much over." After that I started crying uncontrollably. I couldn't contain my fears and tears any longer.

She took me into her arms and starting crying with me. "Shhh, it'll be alright sweetie. We have to take one step at a time."

She was rubbing my back until I finally calmed down. "I'm ready now, let's go."

"Alright. Let me carry your things."

She picked up my things and left to take them out to the car. I looked out the window and immediately felt a lot calmer and better. I loved my house, it was absolutely perfect. What made it even better was the meadow. This beautiful place where I basically spent my childhood with Will. I stood there in awe and just looked outside. I got lost in its beauty, until I felt some warm arms circle me. Knowing exactly who it was, I turned around and gave him a warm, welcoming hug. "I missed you William."

"I missed you more," he said. "I also have a surprise, I couldn't get her to leave me alone. She forced me to bring her along."

"Who..." I could hear someone huffing and stomping as they came up the stairs into my house. I turned to look at the door and there she was. The one and only Hazel. "Oh I see."

"Yeah. This moron tried to say he wasn't gonna take me with him. He can't just leave me at school if you both are going to skip! I wanted to be here too. And you," she said pointing at Will, "move away from my best friend. You're intoxicating her with your wanna be manliness."

Will put a hand on his heart and acted like Hazel hurt his feelings. "Please. If she's intoxicated with anything it'll be my sexiness. No woman can resist all this," he said gesturing to himself.
