Trinity's POV

Have you ever felt like you might just drift away? I am floating, and I don't even know where I'm at. I don't know how I got here, but I'm in a big body of water. It smells like the ocean, but I've never been to one before. I can tell it's the ocean, the water taste and smells so salty.

Will... Where's Will? I tried to sit up, but my body wouldn't obey my orders. It hurts everywhere, so I guess this is why I can't move. I tried to say his name, but my mouth and words quit working. What was I supposed to do?

Suddenly I grew very tired and weak. I stared at the sky for as long as I could. I tried to fight sleep, I tried to fight it for Will. Laying there in the water, afloat, floating to absolutely no where, drained my energy. The longer I laid there, the weaker I got.

"Will..." I managed to say his name before blacking out.

I could hear beeping in the background, along with a few voices I recognized.

"Doctor Shepard, how'd the surgery go? Is everything alright? What's wrong?" My mother asked, sounding frantic.

"Mrs. Lynn... there were a few minor complications.."

"Minor? Define mine?" Hazel asked with panic in her voice. She sounded like she was on the verge of tears. I wanted to call her name and tell her I was alright, but I couldn't find my voice.

"At first, everything was running smoothly. The tumor was a lot bigger and more progressed than we thought. We removed it, but as I said there were complications."

I heard Hazel start crying. "Spit it out Doc. What did you do to my best friend?"

"There was some bleeding. We stopped it, but there is always the chance of damage. There is a high chance Trinity could have some motor and/or memory problems."

The one voice I hadn't heard yet finally spoke up. "How high? What did you do to my girlfriend?"

"There's about a 20-30% chance that she could have these problems. Or she could be just fine."

There was a loud commotion. "I swear to god Doc, I will rip you limb from limb if anything is wrong with her."

"Will, please calm down. Trinity wouldn't want this from us," my mom said trying to soothe Will. "How long until she wakes up?"

I hear Doctor Shepard sigh, "That's another thing I needed to mention. Trinity is in a coma. This is normal after a surgery, especially when dealing with the brain. She could wake up in the matter of days, maybe even a few weeks, but from my experience it will take at least a week."

I heard my mom and Hazel crying, it was such a horrible sound. I could hear all their pain and fear. They were scared, and all I could do for them was sit still. I guess this is what it's like to be in a coma.

"At least?" Will said, "you want me, I mean us to wait maybe a week for her to wake up? Do you have any idea how long that is!" I could hear the strain in his voice, he was also now crying.

It was barely audible, but I heard him. "Maybe even more," the doctor murmured.

"Even more..."

Will was cut off by some frantic beeping. I suddenly felt very heavy and found it hard to breathe.

"Doctor Shepard, her BP is dropping. Her heart rate has gone up drastically."

"What's going on?!" My mother yelled.
