Good news, I got to work with the Spider-Man, bad news, we lost Venom.
We searched for a long time after he was thrown over the edge, but no traces were left of the symbiote.
Phantom gave some help. Of course I didn't tell Spidey about that. He would think I was some sort of villain. So, no way.
We stopped when morning had started to rise over the city. Phantom hid a laugh, It's about time you got to school, Sparrow.
My eyes flew upwards, "Oh man,"
Spidey looked up from his pile of black stuff, "What is it?"
"Morning," I pointed to the sun.
He suddenly seemed as nervous as I was, "Well, we'll continue the search tonight? Gotta go! I forgot I left my cat on the roof . . . "
     With that, he was gone.
I sped through the city, trying my best to get to the school grounds just like every other day. Landing in the bushes, Phantom's suit dropped off of me, and slid itself into my backpack.
I unstuck my shirt from my chest, "Blech, I was just thinking, my name as the Scarlet Spider doesn't really make sense 'cause of the white suit and all."
Then change the name, Phantom snapped bitterly.
"Okay, jeez," I grumbled, walking up to my school, "You don't have to be so grumpy about it."
I had to explain to the teacher why I was there so early.
                             ***
"So, Mr. Stone," my math teacher, Mrs. Gullepry said, "You slept through class, again."
Your vitals have increased, Phantom muttered.
"Uh, I was up late last night. . . " I said, shrugging as I stood uncomfortably in front of her desk.
Mrs. Gullepry snorted, "Not an excuse, Sparrow! You must put your studies first before anything."
Can we throw her through the roof? Phantom pleaded.
     "No!" I snapped.
"No?" Mrs. Gullepry raised an eyebrow.
"I mean," I corrected, "You are absolutely right."
So we can throw her through the roof. Phantom laughed gleefully.
     "Shut up," I muttered.
"Why, Mr. Stone!" Mrs. Gullepry gasped, "Principal's office, now!"
I stomped into the hall, fuming.
See? She has made you angry, we should throw her through the roof. Phantom suggested again.
I ignored him and knocked on the Principle's door. I could already tell that someone else was in there since I could hear their voices.
"- didn't mean too, sir."
"I understand, Parker. Just don't let it happen again, all right?"
I opened the door and saw a boy standing in front of the Principal's desk.
"What is it, Stone?" Principal Lee looked down from his chair, "I'm in the middle of something."
"Uh," I stumbled on the doorframe, "Mrs. Gullepry wanted me to see you for . . . sleeping in class?"
The kid beside me looked at me strangely.
"Well," Principal Lee shook his head, "I'll let both of you pass this once. But please make sure it doesn't happen again."
The kid and I were sent outside of the office after that.
Hmm, Phantom mused, This boy seems familiar . . .
"Hey, wait!" I yelled after the retreating back of the kid.
He looked back, "What?"
"What's your name?" I asked.
He shrugged, "Peter Parker. Yours?"
I grinned and shook his hand, "Sparrow Stone."
We both looked at each other for a minute. Phantom was right, he really did remind me of someone, but who?
"Anyway," Peter started to walk away, "See you in science?"
Without waiting for a reply, he ran down the hall.
Should we chase him down? Phantom asked eagerly.
"No," I muttered, "You've got us in enough trouble already. Besides, we gotta find You-Know-Who for You-Know-What."
Phantom hissed, Riddle speaker.
