Being blind in the dark with a super villain hunting you, and a voice in your head telling you to run; is not very fun.
My suit's light had gone out, and I could only see dimly in front of me. With a bomb ticking, and a villain trying to smash me like a bug.
"Last chance," Kaine growled, somewhere to the left of me, "Surrender, and your death will be swift and painless."
     "Again, no!" I yelled.
He chuckled, "I was hoping you would say that."
I fist appeared out of no where and punched me hard in the gut. I stumbled away, just as a foot rammed into the side of my head.
I could taste blood in my mouth as Kaine snarled, "You have earned yourself nothing but pain, symbiote."
The bomb, it has only five minutes left, Sparrow! Phantom said loudly.
A rip was starting to form in my suit, warning me that Phantom was losing his energy. I had to get out of there.
I closed my eyes. I knew this was a bad idea, but I did anyway. Breathing hard through my nose, I listened.
Spider sense tingling, I caught the fist that was about to clobber my face. I threw the fist over my left shoulder and flipped over Kaine. He grunted in surprise as I flew over him and ran to the opening into the gym.
I finally emerged into the flashing lights of the school. No one was there, so I was hoping no one was stuck.
I sprayed a web on the ceiling and swung through the room into the hall. Landing on my knee, I yelled, "Is anyone still here?!"
Silence.
Sparrow, I'm sensing two people still in the school, Phantom warned.
"Where?" I panted, wiping away a drip of blood from my lip.
In your math classroom, Phantom said surprised.
I ran down the hall, until I arrived at the math room. I could faintly hear Kaine's soft shadowy noise, so I burst into the room, quickly looking for the kids.
Two girl were looking at their computer until I had barged in. They yelped and shut their computer.
"Who are you?" the brunette asked, a hint of fear in her voice.
"No time to explain, we have to get out of the school," I said, stepping towards them.
Two minutes, Sparrow! Phantom said frantically.
The blonde next to the brunette sighed, "This is just a prank. This happened last year when the freshmen 'evacuated' the school."
"This is serious!" I snapped, "There is a bomb, and this school will blow up. You both have to get out of here, now!"
The brunette pulled at her friend, "Come on, Tracy. Let's go."
They both ran out of the room.
I ran out after them, only to be stopped by a familiar shadow.
     I groaned, "Not now!"
Kaine chuckled, "Well played, boy. But if I go down, then so do you."
With that, he lunged at me and pinned me down to the marble hallway.
I struggled against his iron grip, "Kaine- we're both going to die! You can't possibly want that!"
His grip tightened, "Dying with a villain like you is worth it."
"I'm the villain?!" I yelled, able to finally shove Kaine off.
20 seconds! Phantom shouted.
I jerked my knee up and caught Kaine right in the ribs. He fell off me, and I was able to get up and run down the hall towards the door.
Kaine roared and ripped a door off a locker and threw it. I yelped and jumped over it, landing hard on my side.
I shot a web at the ceiling and yanked myself over Kaine as he charged at me.
10
Kaine swiftly dodged the kick I aimed at him, grabbing my leg and swinging me into the wall.
9
I was able to get out of Kaine's grip and launch myself off the locker doors and smash Kaine against the other side.
8
I punched Kaine hard in the head and jumped back just as he threw a dagger. In mid air, I shot a web at it and threw it right back at Kaine, embedding it into his leg.
5
Kaine yelled in pain and anger, yanking himself up. He grabbed my arm and flung me back farther into the school.
4
I grunted in pain as my head hit the ground. Phantom was silent, and I could sense he was weakening.
3
I looked behind me, spotting a window. Kaine started running at me, his hands holding two daggers each.
2
I let him get about two feet in front of me before I dodged him and shot into the classroom towards the window.
1
Smashing through the window, I fell, right as Phantom yelled, ZERO.
What happened after that went in such a blur, I could barley remember it. A huge noise thundered behind me, leaving my ears ringing, the force of the explosion pushing me a good ten feet away from the former school.
I could tell Phantom had taken control, because my hands lifted at their own accord. They webbed to a building and swung my body safely to the ground.
The explosion still shook the ground and tumbled through the air in shock waves.
I heard a faint yelling like I was miles below water. I looked sideways and saw Spidey running towards me, along with a bunch of schoolmates.
We have to get out of here, Phantom said, sounding exhausted.
I forced myself to stand up, shooting a web at a lamppost, I swung myself up into the air. Time seemed to speed up as I arrived at my apartment.
Faintly hearing my mom talking on the phone, I collapsed on my bed, falling into a deep sleep.

"-can't believe this."
I opened my eyes and rubbed my head, "Believe, what?"
Looking around, I saw my room. My messy room. Best sight ever!
We both have recovered successfully! Phantom said, happily.
I grinned, "Yeah, nice work out there buddy."
Suddenly, my door flew open, my mom standing in the doorway. She stopped and stared at me.
My eyes widened, "Mom, I can explain!"
"Your room is a mess!" she cried, "Clean it up! Dinner's almost ready, and you have a special guest coming over."
Without another word, she turned on her heal and left.
I looked down at my body and saw myself in my underwear. I felt my confusion grow, "Uh, Phantom? What's with this?"
I didn't want your mother figuring out our identity, Phantom said smugly.
The underwear turned into my regular attire; blue jeans, red shirt, and black sneakers.
"Okay, that's either cool, or super weird." I announced.
Phantom chuckled, Come, your mother is waiting. Oh, and Peter Parker.
