Chapter 37

George's P.O.V

My eyes fluttered open and I found myself in a room that was all white. I was lying on an uncomfortable bed and there were wires on my face and my chest. I heard a faint beeping noise next to me.

"G...George? You awake?" I turned to my side and saw a worried Josh beside me.

"Where's Jade?" I said which was the first thing that came to my mind.

"We still haven't found her"

"What happened to me? Why am I here?"

All I remembered was Josh talking to the police over the phone and me blacking out and falling to the floor.

"You fainted."

"Well when can I go?"

"I'll go get a nurse"

Josh left the room and left me here thinking to myself.

Was I too late?

Have I now made things worse for Jade?

Is she alright?

Is she hurt?

I needed to stop with these voices. They over took me in every singe bad situation.

Josh came back in with with a nurse dressed in white.

"Hello George, how you feeling?" The nurse said while she stroked my forehead and started fiddling around with some wires and buttons.

"Alright I guess" I said whilst getting up and sitting up straight "When can I go?"

"If your feeling all right you can go now if you want?"

"Yeah can I go now"

"Sure"

I got out of the covers and off of the uncomfortable bed. I left the room with Josh and we headed to his car that was parked in the car park.

"Where we going?" I asked Josh.

"Back to the hotel"

"What? But what about Jade! We have to find her!"

"The police said it's safer if we stay away from it."

I slouched back down into my seat and just stared out the window. Maybe it was better off the police going. They know their way around here. We don't.

We got back to the hotel and went back into our room. I headed into my bedroom and laid down on the bed looking up to the ceiling.

Tears started falling down my face. I was too weak to wipe them away so I let them fall down my face and my neck. My eyes started to close and I felt myself drifting away.
