I'm Going to Hurt You

Her heart clenched and she waited with trepidation for the inevitable screams of agony that would accompany the bite. After a half a second the sound of jarring metal on metal made her jump instead, she couldn't resist investigating. She opened her eyes a fraction of an inch at first, but they were wide and open almost immediately.

Even the Mangle was shocked at what it was seeing. He stopped it's onslaught and clung precariously to the side of the present, seemingly unsure of what she was witnessing. It seemed to decide quickly that it didn't want any part of... whatever that was. She watched in stunned confusion as he withdrew a few feet back up the present but got momentarily stuck at the top. When she finally scrambled over, it threw one confused glare at the both of them, shot a barrage of screeching tones, and sidled noisily away, into the darkness.

She returned her gaze to William and stared. And stared. And stared some more, trying to reconcile what she was seeing in front of her with the image of the William that she had come to know.

He turned slowly towards her, eyes blazing. Literally blazing, she noted fearfully. They were lit from within, red, and glowing with burning anger. They dropped to her and flickered like an old light bulb, filtering to a deep purple, then white, and finally settling into a shockingly pink hue.

She blinked, and tried to take a step back, but the dimensions of the box prevented it.

In fact, she realized to her horror, the thing that William had become was only inches from her body. She shrank away, trying to diminish the distance between the two of them.

Her heart caught in her throat and images of the little plushies on Puppet's bed floated into her mind. In particular, a little Spring Bonnie, with torn ears, broken circuitry, and ripped fur.

That was what stood before her; a figure reminiscent of Spring Bonnie, only far more broken and falling apart at the seams. Liquid, oozing and red, like fresh blood, leaked from the belly region of the animatronic, and its eyes were locked onto her as she looked it up and down, all but frozen from shock.

Her sweeping gaze brought her back to its eyes, eyes that were reminiscent of a calm and loving Spring Bonnie, but twisted behind seas of anger and hate. Who was this? What was this?

She was saved from having to answer this question though- in a sense. Spring Bonnie/William had had enough for the day, apparently. With one wobbly step towards her, its eyes flickered and fluttered shut. Then he fell, crumpling at the knees. The only problem was; there was no room for him to fall anywhere, but straight down; where she happened to be standing.

With a groan, he collapsed against her. She steeled herself, but his massive weight bore her down until she was crouched on the floor beneath his motionless body, and trapped.

Panting, she tried to shove him away from her, but he was too heavy. She did manage, however, to maneuver herself until she wasn't quite so pinned, and none of her limbs were in danger of falling asleep. From here, she tried to get a grip on any part of the beast, and heaved with all her might.

When she finally gave up hope, some time later, that she could move the pile of metal above her, she let her muscles collapse in an exhausted heap. From her squished vantage point she could see straight up and out of the box, but the room above was ghostly silent and almost fully dark.

She strained to hear animatronic footsteps against hardwood and tile floors, but nothing came. She tried to call out for Bonnie and Freddy, even Chica and Foxy, but was rewarded with deafening silence.

She had been scared, at first, that her thrashing and yelling would wake the monster up, but after a bit it became apparent that wasn't going to happen. So she increased the frequency and volume of her shouts. Despite doubling her efforts though, nothing came of it. After dozens of minutes of praying, yelling, pushing and shoving, and straining to hear anything from above, she finally gave up on that too, and let her eyes drift closed, tears spilling from beneath her eyelids.
