So Tired

"Emily huh?" Jake crossed his arms over his chest, mulling the name over. Nobody had heard him speak though, they were all engrossed in their own conversations about the past. He had to admit it though, even though she had been named Luna by a mysterious and missing animatronic; he liked it better than the name Emily.

He watched her speak, amazed at how beautiful she looked, even with swollen and puffy eyes and flushed cheeks. She didn't wear makeup, and most of the time she was in a random assortment of men's and women's clothing from the locker room, but she was still beautiful. He had thought so since he had first laid eyes on her, if he wanted to be honest with himself.

Her dark hair fell in loose ringlets around her shoulders and her dark blue eyes were wide and glinting with excitement as she spoke.

He tore his eyes away and mentally drew himself out of his private thoughts before they got into dangerous territory and jumped back into the conversation.

They spent an awkward amount of time plotting and talking over the volume of new information they had to wade through. Not too many things were answered, many questions were voiced. It seemed like they were bogging through a fog of poison; in danger every second but unable to find their way out.

His alarm went off, way too soon it seemed, and everybody fell silent.

Jeffrey broke the silence first.

"So, should we all leave like normal? Like nothing happened here?"

Jake looked surprised and Freddy raised an eyebrow.

"Why wouldn't we?" Jake asked, getting to his feet.

Jeffrey looked annoyed.

"Come on man, this stuff going on here... it's crazy. Besides...that William guy is here too right?"

Jake sighed, rubbing his temples.

"I forgot about that..." he mumbled, glancing at Luna. He knew her name was Emily now, but it didn't seem to fit somehow. She was curled up in Bonnie's arms, or arm rather, and her eyes were already drooping. They needed to get home and rest, he knew that for sure. On the other hand, William seemed to know that she had been staying with them. He was probably keeping tabs on them.

She spoke up, fatigue heavy in her voice.

"Umm... Jake? I'm gonna stay here today..." She avoided his eyes, and kept talking, "It's Sunday today, isn't it? The pizzeria will be closed today, and I need to find Foxy and Chica."

She felt, more than ever that Foxy had been trying to save her from Puppet and she would owe him forever for that.  A little part of her kind of feared that something was terribly wrong with him since he had come back to life, though and she was worried. Either way, she couldn't leave Foxy like that, and she wasn't about to condemn Chica to anymore mindless wandering, alone in the dark.

She looked up at him, her eyes pleading.

"I can't stay gone for a whole twenty-four hours." She said softly, but firmly.

Bonnie tightened his grip around her waist and Freddy nodded, crossing his arms over his chest. He stood, towering over Jake and Jeffrey.

"She stays."

Both Jake and Jeffrey jumped when Freddy spoke, it was so unexpected. It was mechanical and commanding, but also deep and not unkind. It held a tone that made it clear that he wouldn't be argued with. After All this was a being that murdered people, he reminded himself. But he, nor any of the others had ever hurt Luna, so he knew she would be safe.
