Soft organ music echoed throughout the grand chapel, the sacred base of the Mewnian Orthodox Church. People from every corner of the land were gathering into the pews, Mewnian citizens sitting on the bride's side, and monsters on the groom's. The place had been decorated with golden bells and pink satin ribbons hung all around the steep walls.

The groom himself, Coffee, leader of the monsters, stood at the foot of the podium, waiting patiently for the beginning of the ceremony. Every few minutes or so, he stole a glance at his watch, to make sure nothing was running late. He was dressed in his very finest attire, and actually looked pretty sophisticated, for a monster.

All the wedding guests chattered amongst themselves, awaiting anxiously for their princess bride to appear.

King River stood behind the high double doors in the back of the chapel, dressed in a uniform similar to what he had wore to his own nuptials, with an impressive king's crown sitting on his bald head. He was fiddling with his sapphire-incrusted cufflinks when he heard his wife's voice ring out in perfect pitch. "Here comes the bride!"

River turned around, and the sight before him dazzled his senses. Star was dressed in a magnificent white wedding gown, sewn up with diamonds and small pearls, making her sparkle under the candlelight of the church. Her veil had two sheets of soft transparent silk, one cascading like a waterfall down and trailing four feet behind her, and another draped over her face, making it seem like she was glowing. Her makeup had been done to perfection, and she wore long white satin evening gloves that reached past her elbows. She was indeed, a vision of beauty.

Moon was even beaming with pride as she looked their daughter from head to toe. "Isn't she lovely?" River approached her and took her hands in his. "You look as beautiful as your mother did, on our wedding day." Star forced a weak smile onto her face. "Thanks, Dad." She cast her eyes downwards, but the King and Queen could still see the sadness within them.

Moon approached her daughter and took one of her hands, squeezing it softly. "Star, your father and I just want to tell you...we are so proud of you, with your sacrifices...you're really putting the people of Mewni before yourself." She gently lifted Star's chin so that they were eye-to-eye. "You're going to make a fine Queen someday." Star smiled more genuinely before hugging her mother. "Thanks, Mom."

River offered Star his arm. "Shall we get this show on the road?" Star took a deep breath. "We shall."

Marco panted harder and harder. He could see the Mewnian Orthodox Church getting closer and closer in the distance. After what seemed like miles and miles, he finally arrived at the front doors. "Here it is! C'mon, guys!" He turned around to see his friends, all heaving with reddened faces and pained chests. "Can't...take...another...step...", Janna choked out. "Lungs...on...fire..."

Marco put one hand against the door. "Stop!", Tom cried. "You can't just barge in there! The King and Queen have royal knights guarding every inch of that place! We need a battle plan!" Just then, Pony Head's cell phone went crazy. Using her tongue, she pulled it out of her wild pink mane and pressed "Accept". "Ello?"

Ludo's face popped up onto the screen. "Where are you two? This is an awfully long time to use the restroom!" "Ludo?!", Janna exclaimed. The bird-man looked surprised. "What is the beanie girl doing in the church bathroom?" "Why is Ludo calling you?", Jackie asked. "Oh, he's one of the wedding guests.", Tom explained. "We told him we were leaving for a bit." Just then, heavy organ music could be heard on the phone. "You two better get back here pronto!", Ludo snapped. "The ceremony's about to begin!" And with that, he hung up.

Marco started to panic. "Did you hear that?! The wedding's starting! We don't have time to come up with a battle plan! We have to go in NOW!" He took a few steps back before charging at the door, unleashing a heavy battle cry. "Marco, no!" The doors flew open with a loud crash upon making contact with the young boy. He only got to enjoy his victory for a few moments before he rammed into a thick, bulky chest.
