Chapter 6

Tom’s POV

Not only had I got my girl back in London but it was her 18th tomorrow and me, Faziaand Max had one amazing evening planned for her. I spose we’ll have to wait and see how it goes in the morning…

Laura's POV

“Seev, will you get me a cuppa pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee??” I asked sweetly. Me, Méadhbh, Catherine, Fazia and Rhi were all sat in the living room planning tomorrow daytime.It was the job of the girls to occupy Méadhbh, while the lads set up another surprise for her birthday.

“Yes, anyone else while the kettle’s on?” Seev replied kindly, which was answered with a chorus of ‘yes please’ and ‘Me Too’

Rhi’s POV

I was so excited for Méadhbh's 18th!!!She had no clue what we had planned and I knew tom and max would fix up her the ideal day and I couldn’t wait till my 18th!!!

 The Next Day – 9th September 2011 (Méadhbh George’s Birthday!!)

Méadhbh's  POV

I woke up to see Tom watching me sleep, “Morning creep” I mumbled as I kissed his cheek

“Morning beautiful” he replied sweetly “come on, everyone’s downstairs waiting for you to get up. So get dressed then we’re going downstairs to open your presents” he was obviously chuffed he had managed to organize something for once. I threw on a pair of Tom’s grey trackies, and one of his hoodies, put my hair in a messy bun, and squeezed my feet into my favorite pair of slippers and wondered downstairs to find everyone exactly where Tom had said they were – gathered in the lounge half asleep.

“Morning guys” I said cheerily whilst being attacked with hugs from the girls

“Thanks babyy” I smiled as Tom handed me a cup of tea and sat next to me with his arms securely round my waist.

“Right, we’re going first” Jay declared as he handed me a small gift bag. I opened it to reveal a chunky bracelet and some earrings – evidently Catherine had helped him pick them.

“Thank you Jay” I replied as I gave him and Catherine a hug.

“Us next” I heard as Seev and Laura presented me with a square parcel. As I took the box out of its wrapping, I threw the paper at max - who was in a daze - and he screamed which was quite hilarious. Inside was a new pair of slippers and a £20 for Topshop. “Aw thanks guys” I gave them a hug as well.

“Now Us!” Rhiannon and Nath gave me a bag full of sweets from when we were kids, new make-up, Battleground by The Wanted – definitely a gift from Nathan – some very nice perfume and gift vouchers for different shops. “Thanks you two, Nath Battleground, Seriously!” I said with a huge grin on my face.

“Right, shut up, it’s our turn” Max stated, as I opened the gift off Max and Fazia , everyone was on the edge of their seats to see what was inside the quite large box…

I ripped the lid off the box and inside was the guitar my dad had when he was my age (well a newer version of it). I could feel the heat of my tears as they ran down my cheeks. I gave Max and Fazia a huge hug, and whispered in Max’s ear “How did you know I had been looking at buying one of these??”

If you didn’t know, my dad died when I was sixteen. He played a huge part in max and I’s love of music as he was a musician himself and I spose you could say we got our voices from him. It hit me and Max hard when he died, and I go and see his grave every year on his birthday, the day he died, and at Christmas.

“well, some donut didn’t delete their internet bookmarks. And another donut was being nosey” he grinned. That must have been one of the best presents I had been given yet.

“My Turn!!” Tom pulled his good-boy face, “Go on then babyy” I replied stroking his cheek. The first was a small box with a new belly-bar in it – although I didn’t have my belly-button pierced yet it’s something I had told Max and Tom that I wanted doing on my 18th, that and a tattoo. The second was a small soft package, inside was one of Tom’s hoodies (my favorite one of his) that smelt like him.The third was a long thin gift box, which inside was a necklace with 2 charms on it, 2 hearts – one with a ‘M’ and one with a ‘T’; only a genius would know why those letters.Fourthly were two pairs of brand new high-tops that I had been looking at – one were Nike force high tops, another were Nike dunks. Fifthly he got me a new helix piercing – which I had pierced for my 16th birthday. He also got me a new iPhone case, an ironical jumper – that read ‘I Just Want You’ – and some new military boots.

“Awwww, thank you babyy. You didn’t have to get me these you know” I said whilst I gave him a huge hug, meanwhile the others thought it was a smart time to join in the hug - which ended up becoming one huge pile-on

“I know, but I wanted to” Tom replied smugly, I don’t know why but I sensed there was something I didn’t know, but I left that at the back of my mind and looked forward to a day out shopping with my girlies before going home to my beautiful boy…
