Chapter 11: The Move

~Four months later, 3rd Person~

              Marius had a very hard decision to make on whether or not to accept the college's offer of scholarship. Eponine and Marius looked online for houses took trips to look at the houses they liked and also the college in person and stay in a hotel during these trips. Within four months of saving money, Marius had decided to go to the university and they decided to move to a house in Warwick Rhode Island, only 10 minutes.

             "I'm home!" Marius says walking on a light golden brown, fresh wood planks in the living room.

             "Hi Marius!" Gavroche says while running slipping on the wood with socks the way an ice skater skates to the other side of the skating rink to go say hi to a family member or friend.

             "Hey bud. How was school today?" Marius asks Gavroche.

             "It was alright." Gavroche responded.

             "That's good. You hungry?" Marius says

             "A little." Gavroche said

               With that Marius goes into the kitchen pantry and grabs a snack for Gavroche. 

             "Here you go bud. I know they're your favorite."

             "Thanks." He says opening the medium sized carton of Goldfish.

               He walks in the bedroom very quietly and sees her lying on the bed awake.

             "Hey Ponine." He says after lying in bed with her.

             "Hey. How did the interview go?" She says hopeful.

             "It went good, I think. What are you doing?" He says to her curious.

              "That's good. Lying down thinking." She says

               "Thinking about what?" He asks

                "Life, this, everything. I know we saved up a little but I'm not quite sure how much longer we're going to be able to do this when neither of us have a job right now. I know we all need this to work as a distraction from our past and I want to honestly be able to make it. To be able to live a life away from a world that's full of hate, of violence, death, of the place that my parents would con people of everything they had and would abuse their children. Away from the life that's cold and dark, I've been unafraid for the most part but there are days where I want to crawl up into a ball and cry because of the fear from my own parents gave to me from all the years. To gain a fresh start, in a world that's full of happiness that I have never known because my parents were the abusive, merciless, ruthless, savages, who never really learned what it takes to be at least a decent parent. I may have not lived in a world full of happiness, what ever that  means, but it's not to late for Gavroche to live in a place like that. He's going through trauma I mean he's 12 and he witnessed the death of pretty much all of his best friends and not to mention he was almost shot and our parents died. I want him to have a life full of happiness, as much as possible, a don't want him to be living a dream, I just want the very best for him! After all he's been through he deserves at least that chance of a happy life, Right?" She says and Marius cradles her into his strong, powerful, protective, arms.

                  "Hey now... It's okay babe. It's all going to be okay! We're going to get through this! Me and you will get a job soon!! Trust in me, you need to relax and dance through life. We have enough money to last at least a few months. I'm sorry that you had a very cold, dark, and brutal childhood! You deserve so much better! I wish I could go back in time to just change the childhood you had. To teach your parents how to actually care and how to parent!  To change the fact that they were abusive parents that you had and that they earned their living by coning people and robbing them of what they had. I want to move away too! Heck I lost my grandfather, my father, my friends, my brother, and Cosette. I almost lost YOU, the love of my life, my light in the hallway, my everything, my partner in crime, my best friend! I hate the fate that this is something that war does to a person. I want the very best for Gavroche too! Can you calm down for a minute? We're all going to be okay! We're going to live a very happy life here and leave what we can back there! I love you Eponine Thenardier. " Marius says trying to comfort his soon to be bride. 

                  "You're right. How did I ever get so lucky as to have you be mine!?!?!?!? However  that happened I am so grateful that it did! Thank you for that, I needed that. I love you too Marius Pontmercy!!" Eponine said at this point she's crying and being emotional, hugging the person that she has always loved. 

                   Within three hours of their conversation, Marius gets a call from an unknown number. 

                  "Hello."

                  "Hello, Is this Marius Pontmercy?"

                  "Yes this is he and who is this if you don't mind me asking?"

                  "Hi Marius. This is Mason Smith, I interviewed you  for the teachers assistant position."  Mason Smith says.

                "Hello Mr. Smith, how are you? I appreciate you taking the time to call me and talk with me." Marius says. 

                "I'm well Marius how about you?" Mr. Smith says

                "I'm good. Mr. Smith." Marius says trying to be professional and not seem too hopeful through this conversation.

                "That's good. Anyways, Marius, I called you because I have news for you. Congratulations Marius Pontmercy! You got the job! Welcome aboard, When can you start?"  He says. 

                 "Thank you so much!!! I can start this coming Thursday."  

                  "You're very welcome. I'll see you Thursday at 7:20 am alright. Have a good night." 

                 "You too sir." 

                 "Who was that?" Eponine asks Marius.

                "That was a call saying that things are looking up. I got the job!" Marius says.

                "That's GREAT Marius!!!!!! Congratulations!!!" Eponine responds

 Hello my fellow, Musical Theater nerds,

I've noticed that I haven't updated in months and I'm EXTREMELY SORRY about that!!! Senior year has been more busy with school stuff and college stuff.
