Chapter sixteen

I awoke feeling cold. I turned on my side and Keaton was gone. When did he leave? Oh god it's that feeling again. I need to text Collin. there's to many thoughts bouncing off my skull it feels like someone's pounding from the inside with a hammer. I got up, got into my Roxy bikini and went down stairs. I texted Collin and told him I was ready and to meet me at our surf spot.

When I got to the beach I leaned against some palm trees and waited for Collin. He was there a couple minutes after me. "Hey!" I said waving to him Cheerily.

He nodded towards the water. "Shall we?"

"Hell yeah!" I started running to the water with my board under my arm. when I got in deep enough I duck dived under the first wave and turtled under the other until I was on our sand bar. Collin was right behind me smiling.

He paddled closer to me. "Surprised you aren't out with keaty pooh." he laughed.

I rolled my eyes and shoved him lightly. "Oh shut up!" I smiled and laughed.

"Oh that's it Kolton!" He the jumped off his board, grabbed me, held me above his head, and threw me into the water.

I resurfaced. "Your dead meat Gorelli!" I started splashing him as hard as I could. It developed In to a full blown water war. He picked me up again and I started screaming and kicking. "Let me go!".

The sun was reflecting off of the ocean he spun me around and slowly put me back in the water. He kept his gaze into my eyes. It all happened so quickly. We were kissing. I was running my fingers in his golden hair, feeling the strength of his muscles compared to mine. I pushed back. "What about Keaton?...." Collin just crashed his lips to mine again. He tasted like the sun and A pop tart but I knew this was wrong. Something felt right but It wasn't fair to Keaton.

I pulled away. "No really Collin this...this isn't fair to Keaton."

"I'm so sorry Delilah I know it is I just....." He paused "I don't know. I guess I just don't get why you like him. he has cheated on his last three girlfriends! I didn't want you to get hurt but you needed to know. either way I shouldn't have just kissed you, and I'm sorry." And he was gone. He paddled to shore and left. the only remnants of him was the faint taste of a strawberry pop tart he left on my lips.
