I had just finished a 48 hour shift at the hospital. Owen and Amelia were watching the kids. I was going to go home and watch some TV. I arrived at the house to find rose petals leading up to mine and Nathans room. I followed the path. I found Nathan in a suit. I immediately knew what was happening.
"Meredith Grey, I have loved you ever since we first met. we have been through everything together, Megan coming back, dealing with Maggie liking me. I wake up to you every morning and think I'm the luckiest man alive. Meredith Grey, I promise I will love you even when i might not like you. To never go to bed angry, even if we stay up all night. To respect you,even when I disagree with you. To stand by you in every stage of our life. When things are good or bad, when we are laughing or crying,when we are surrounded by family or by our selves. I Promise to never leave you."
He gets down on one knee " So Meredith Grey will you marry-"
"YESSSS" I say before he can finish
He gets up and pulls me into a passionate kiss. After kissing he put the ring on my finger.

Today was the day I was going to ask Meredith to marry me. I had been planning this for about three weeks now. I knew she was going to have a long shift and that was the perfect chance to set up and be ready. I started with writing my speech then went to the flower shop and got rose petals, then I made a trail of them to our bed room. I put my suit on and before I knew it she was there in the room. I was on one knee and she had said yes. We kissed before I broke away.
"what?"she said annoyed
"should we tell people?" I asked
"Yes, of course, I have to go tell Alex in person and call Cristina. I'll see you later, love you"
