Meredith POV

I went back to the hospital where Alex was to tell him about my engagement. He was in the NICU. 

Hey Mer what are you doing here didnt you just get off? He asked when he saw me

" Yeah but I needed to tell you something in person" 

What? Is everything okay? whats wrong? He said with a concerned look 

yes yes everything is ok well everything is better than ok" I hold my left hand up where the ting is " He proposed" I say with the biggest smile on my face

"What wow congrats!!!! wait does cristina know?" he asks 

"No not yet I have to go call her. I got to go" i say 

"K bye. Wait Mer, I really am happy for you"

"I know you are, I'll see you tomorrow" i say as i leave 

On the way back to the house i call cristina 

On the phone with cristina 

"Hey Mer whats up?"

"Nothing much. Alex and Jo are back together, Nathan and I are engaged and Maggie and--"

"WAIT WHAT YOU AND NATHAN ARE ENGAGED!!!! WHEN??? HOW???"

"Tonight, rose petals and a big lovely speech" I responded 

"congrats Mer!! Did you tell evil spawn(Alex)?"

"Yes I told him" 

"Ok well I'm SOOO happy for you but I have to go I have a surgery to scrub into. I'll talk to you later"

"K bye" 

Back at the house 

I walk in the door to Nathan watching Friends, the TV show, on the couch. 

"Hello my beautiful wife to be" he says when he sees me.

"Hey my future husband" I respond

We both sat on the couch ,me leaning against his chest.I was so tried it had been a long day, before i knew it I was asleep on him.
