Third POV
"Naruto...? Since when are they so close?" Sasuke asked more to himself than anyone else.
Just seeing Tera talk to Naruto infuriated him, but he didn't know why. The feeling was foreign to him, but what he did know is that he wanted Naruto to disappear from the surface of the earth and never appear again.
"Her chakra is low and she also has some small cuts and bruises, so healing her is our priority before we leave. I know she'll want the medical ninja to heal Naruto Uzumaki as well, lets go." Said Shisui.
Shisui sensed something in Tera that changed. Not knowing what it is made him worry. Especially since it's Tera. She's unpredictable as it is, and this change that he feels is giving him a bad vibe.
The seven of them came out from hiding making sure that their chakra signatures were still masked, especially Itachi and Sasuke.
Naruto was a complete mess, but Sasuke didn't care about him. At this point he regretted ever coming with Shisui and the others.
"I'll take care of him, lady Amaterasu." Said one of the medical ninja.
Tera nodded and let go of Naruto.
"And I'll take care of you." Said the other medical ninja and Tera let her do her job.
She felt too exhausted to try and convince the ninja that she was ok.
"You're going to regret that." The tanned girl said glaring daggers at Tera.
That glare however instantly disappeared once their eyes met.
"If you so much as go near Naruto again, I promise that you'll regret it."
The girl wanted to say something, but something kept her from doing so. Knowing that there was nothing else to do, her teammate helped her up and they headed back to the village together without another word.
"How are you so sure that Sasuke Uchiha didn't do it?" Asked the other person that was with Naruto.
Sasuke's attention went to the unfamiliar guy. He was around their age as well.
He recognized him from the time he was still with Orochimaru. Now that he can think straight, without any vengence against anyone, he regrets what he did to him on their first encounter.
That however, doesn't mean he's going to apologize.
"Because he's too busy searching for his brother, and I know about his brother because he told me when he interrogated me." Tera said as shortly as possible. "No more questions."
Naruto became alerted at this remembering that Tera was kept captive by Sasuke.
"Did you get to see him again?" He asked hopeful. "Is he ever coming back?"
Tera felt bad for Naruto. If Sasuke ever thought about coming back, that thought is now long gone.
Her silence answered his question and he looked down clearly disappointed.
No matter how much he tries, he can't bring his best friend home. He doesn't plan on giving up, but it still hurts him.
"Bonds are important to you aren't they, Naruto?" Tera asked forgetting about the others for a second.
Naruto smiled.
"I don't have a family to welcome me home with delicious food and celebrate my birthday, but I do have friends waiting for me to come home from my missions safe and sound. They've become my family, and are people that I hold dear."
