JORDAN’S POV
“Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!” a girl shrieked.
What was that? He sat up and looked at his clock on his bedside table. Four-thirty in the morning? Where did that shriek come from? He looked outside his window.
A lady was standing at the doorstep of the house in front of his. It was still dawn so he can’t see her face. In front of the house was a truck which he assumed to contain some furnitures. It was driving over the lawn. He can’t make out what the lady was saying but based on her movements, she was angry at the driver for driving over her lawn. If memory serves him right, there were some gossips that a new family will move to the house in front of him. He heard that the family from before went to the states and sold the house.
I still want to sleep but I can’t sleep. That memory ten years ago still haunts me. He then decided to take a bath early and have a nice jog around the park not far from his house.
ALIYAH’S POV
“Mister, please drive more carefully. It’s not easy to replace lawns. Park over there, thank you.” She said with a smile.
“Aliyah, don’t be too hard on him.” Her mother reminded her.
“I’m not mom.” She said with a little frown. She remembered her shriek earlier. I hope I didn’t wake anyone from the neighbourhood.
“Come on, let them do their work so that we can finish early.” She heard her dad say from inside their supposed to be kitchen.
She went inside and went up to her room. There are still not much things inside and she still have some boxes to fix.
“Mom, Dad, I’ll just walk around the neighbourhood and see what’s up. I’ll be back before breakfast!” she shouted before she went out and took her bike.
