Hey there! So this is my first ever straight english work and I am terribly sorry for the wrong grammars or other misspelled words... This is also my first ever A/N on this story.

I am also terribly sorry for the very late update. The reason behind is our enrollment period for this semester. That's why for this chapter, it's kinda long.

I am very very grateful for those who are reading this story of mine. Thank you very much and I hope as you read my story, you could comment and give me your honest opinions.. I would take it positively, don't worry.

After dismissing the class, Jordan went to look for Aliyah. She had already quickly gone out of the room as she was closer to the door than him. He gathered his books and stood up, ready to follow her.

“Hey Dan, we were hoping to talk to you about our grad ball. When would you be available?” asked Sarah, the vice president of their class.

He was quite popular on his school being the class president of their class and also the president of the student council.

“I’m sorry, maybe we should talk about it some other time.” He said as he hurried out the door.

When he finally got out of the room, she was nowhere in sight. That’s odd. She couldn’t have gone too far with that short nick of a time. Maybe...?

He walked towards the nearest women’s comfort room. He waited even though he still wasn’t sure she’s in there. Luckily, he didn’t wait that long before she went out. First thing he noticed was his mother's necklace on her neck.

“Aliyah?” he called.

She stopped alright, but it took her a few seconds before facing him. He was sure a while ago that she still remembers him based on her reaction earlier. He was taken aback when he saw for a moment a glint of anger in her eyes that was immediately replaced by her blank expression.

“Yes?”

“It is you!” he gladly said upon confirming she was the one he thought she was.

He was about to hug her when she stepped back.

“Excuse me? Do I know you?” she said.

“It’s me, Jordan.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t know any Jordan. If you’ll excuse me, I should be getting home by now.” She said as she turned around and walk away from him. It couldn't be. The necklace she's wearing was the one I gave her years ago. It couldn't be a coincidence.

“You don’t understand. Don’t you remember me? It’s me, Nicholas Jordan Taylor. You used to call me Nick back then.” He said as he keeps on chasing her steps. And forcing himself to walk side by side with her.

“Look, I don’t know you okay.”

It wasn’t the words that stopped him from chasing her. It was her tone when she said those words. It has finality as if telling him ‘leave me alone.’

He was really sure that she knows who he is. Well, there’s only one way to find out.

He followed her. He was curious if she were telling the truth of not knowing him. He’ll have to find out if she really is the Aliyah he had known from before. Even if she tells him she doesn’t know him, he’s sure that her parents would still remember him.

He was surprised to see her walk towards their subdivision. He was even more surprised to see her walking along the driveway of the house in front of his.

Are you kidding me? She’s the one who freakin’ woke me at four in the morning yesterday?

He was watching her as she search something in her bag which he assumed would be her keys. He saw her as she sighed in disappointment and pressed the doorbell. Her mother came opening the front door for her. Now’s my chance.

“Mrs. Takahashi?” he said as he walked towards the door.

“Oh my God, is that you Jordan? Jordan Taylor?” Mrs. Takahashi said in disbelief.

“I knew it was you!” he said as he came closer and hugged her. He was silently observing Aliyah that was by now, standing at the back of her mother. He could see surprise, panic, anger and disbelief in her eyes.

“Come in, come in.” Mrs. Takahashi said.

Mr. Takahashi came out from the kitchen as he heard the commotion on the front door.

“Jordan, is that you?” said Mr. Takahashi also surprised to see the boy who was once so little, now a fully grown man.

As the three sat on the couch and talked, she decided to go upstairs to her room.

“Wait darling.” Her mother stopped her in the middle of the stairs. “Where are you going? Don’t you want to talk to Jordan? You two still have coping up ahead of you.” She then turned to Jordan. “It’s nice to see you dear. Where are you staying now?”

“Actually, I live next door.” He matter-of-factly said.

“What?” she couldn’t stop from blurting it out but still, no one gave her attention.

“That’s wonderful.” Mrs. Takahashi said.

“I think I should go now. I was just on my way home when I saw Aliyah on the driveway and I saw you open the door.”

“Okay. It’s getting dark. Let’s just chat again some other time.” Mrs. Takahashi.

Aliyah was continuing her steps towards her room when again, she was interrupted.

“Aliyah, accompany Jordan outside and say hello to his grandparents.” Her father said.

She couldn’t say no to her father. She’s a good and obedient daughter.

The moment they went out, Jordan took her hand and pulled her towards the park.
