It is my mom's birthday in three days. I counted my savings 3x just to be sure. I guess it's enough for that gift that I am planning to buy for her.

I am forth, 10 years old, 5th grader at an all boys school. Together with me is my 2nd brother who is in middle school. Then I also have another brother, the eldest, who is currently in college. The house is always in a disaster when the three of us are there. Mom had already gave up, wishing for a perfect normal life, ever since we were born. Who in the world would want to have children consisting of 3 notorious boys. And to top all that, we have the alpha wolf in the family, my dad. Good thing, our mom has not yet gone insane. We are a family of engineers and mechanics. Dad has his own auto repair shop. Mom is a civil engineer. My oldest brother is studying to become an engineer too and when I grow up I want to be like them.
My grandparents arrived yesterday. They wanted to celebrate mom's birthday together with us. So right now, the house is literally in chaos. I had to sleep in my brother's smelly room, in order to give space for my grandparents. It just so happen that last night, mom, after arriving from work noticed that her favorite stuffed pillow was missing. No one was allowed to enter the house and have dinner, not until one of us find it in God knows where dumpsite it went.
Grandma was being her normal self yesterday, cooking and cleaning the house when she saw that old stuffed pillow in my parents room. Thinking that it looked more like a trash, she threw it away.
Now everyone was outside the house. Even dad who did not know what was happening was outside his very own home.
That pillow had been part of our family. I grew up with it. According to mom, my dad won it at an amusment park game, when she was still being courted. It was the first ever gift she recieved from the man she loved.

It has been with us for the longest time. It had withstand many obstacles. When my two brothers were still kids, they fought over it and accidentally ripped it apart. Mom delicately sown it back. Then it got battered by the pup that dad brought home once. Still, mom patched it up. I can still remember how it used to look before. It was the size of an average pillow resembling a raddish. It had an animated face and green leaves on top.
