Chapter 20

3rd Person's POV...

Juvia was drying her hair using the towel when her phone rang. She checked the caller and it was Mira. She answered the call.

"Hello Mira, Good evening."

[Good evening, Juvia. So, how's the first day there?]

"My day is doing good here so far."

[Was Gray treating you right?]

"Of course he is. More than I even deserve."

[If ever you have any problems with him or anything, just call us, okay?]

"Yes, ma'am!"

[*giggles* Okay, I'll be going now. Take care, okay?]

"Alright. I'll just update you girls soon. Bye."

[Goodbye.]

Then the call ended. Juvia then combed her hair. She was combing her hair when suddenly, the door opened, revealing Gray. Juvia faced him, surprised and Gray just smiled at her.

"Wh-what bring you here? Do you need anything from me?" Juvia asked.

"No...nothing. I'm just making sure that my soon to be wife and my baby is okay." Gray said and hugged Juvia from behind.

Juvia's breathing hitched when he hugged her and blushed madly. Her heart was beating so fast and the butterflies in her stomach are getting wild.

"O-oh...how sweet. I assure you, me and the baby are alright so you don't have anything to worry about." Juvia said.

"I can't help but to worry for you and the baby...I don't know...maybe I'm just that excited to have a baby..." Gray said.

Juvia was still blushing madly and was thankful that Gray couldn't see her blush. She wants to scream in giddy so bad but she doesn't want to turn him off so she stayed calm.

"Y-you aren't going to sleep yet?" Juvia asked, changing the topic.

"Not until my Queen is asleep." Gray said.

"I-I'll be...later." Juvia said.

"But it's not good for you and the baby if you're still up in the middle of the night." Gray said.

"But it's not yet in the middle of the night." Juvia reasoned out.

"Yes but it's already late so you better sleep now." Gray said and pulled Juvia gently on the bed.

Gray covered Juvia up to her chest using the blanket and sat down beside her. He brushed her hair using his hand.

"I'm going to sleep now so you can go back to your own room..." Juvia said.

"I told you, not until the Queen is asleep." Gray said.

Juvia blushed again and closed her eyes forcefully but ended up opening it again. Gray raised an eyebrow to her. Juvia giggled and turned her back on him so that she could sleep. After a moment, Juvia was snoring quietly and that was the sign that she's already asleep.

'I'll make you play the game as long as I want you to. You will never know what I'm up to unless I let you know it. You just messed up with the wrong guy, Juvia.' Gray thought.

He went out of her room and went back to his own room. He get a small glass and poured down the liqour in it. He went to the balcony and sighed as he stared at the beauty of the nightsky.

"I'm just protecting what's left to me...I don't want to lose it...I'm just doing the right thing..." Gray said to himself.

He drank his liqour in one gulp. He went back in his room and placed the glass on his coffee table. He sighed once again as he sat down on his bed and landed on his back. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
