Chapter 28

Juvia's POV...

It's still in the middle of the night when I woke up. I felt an arm around my waist. My eyes widened and I was about to squeal when I looked beside me and I was surprised to see Gray. I didn't expected him to be sleeping next to me ever since the day he started hurting me. He was always going home late or sometimes, he's not even going home. I stared at his sleeping figure. I gasped when he suddenly pulled me closer to him, as if he was afraid that I might leave him.

"Please don't leave me..." He mumbled.

My heart started beating so fast when I heard him, afraid that he might be awake. I stopped breathing for awhile to test if he's still asleep. I sighed in relief when I found out that he was still asleep. I looked at him again.

He looked so vulnerable when he's asleep. Like when you touch him, he'll break.

I held his face with my shaking hand.

How can you be so cruel to me? What did I do to you for you to make me suffer this way? We were okay before but...what happened? You're keeping so many secrets to me...So many secrets that are starting to choke me. But even though you hurted me...I still can't have the urge to leave you...

A tear escaped my eyes.

I miss you already...I want you back. I want our relationship back...I want us to be okay, Gray...I'm not giving up...

Maybe it's time for me to find the answers for the questions building up in my mind. You have so many secrets I have to find out. I promised to stay beside you Gray, so please let me find out why you're acting this way to me... I just need to tame a wild beast like you. I will never give up taming you, Gray. I'm not weak as you thought. Whatever you do, I'm going to tame you. For us to be okay. I kissed his forehead then wiped away my tears.

"I love you...I love you so damn much Gray...That's the only reason why I'm not yet giving up..."

I'm currently in front of a door of Gray's office. I didn't informed him that I'd be here because I know for sure that he won't let me. I just need to some answer. And the answer is here...I knocked first, three times and then opened the door. He was busy typing on his laptop, did not even bothered to take off his eyes on it until I was in front of his desk.

"H-hi Gray..." I said.

He stopped typing and then looked up at me with those pair of cold eyes.

"What are you doing here? Did I told you to come in here?" Gray asked.

"W-wait, before you explode there in anger, let me explain first. I'm just here to check if you're okay." I lied.

He frowned as he stood up. My body tensed as took a step back. He was about to speak when a knock stopped him. The door opened, revealing his secretary.

"Mr. Fullbuster, the board is complete. They're now waiting for you." She said.

"Okay." Gray said.

He then looked at me.

"We're not yet done. Stay here." He said then went out with his secretary.

I know i'll have a good beating from him but I really need an answer. I locked the door first and I immidiately searched in his drawer, looking for his medical history. Maybe he have a mental illness that's why he's so agressive at me. Or maybe Anger issues? I don't know...that's why I'm searching for it, right? I was in the middle of searching when a knock startled me. I piled the documents as fast as I could then put it back properly. I then opened the door with my shaking hands.
